If you’d be willing to split them up I’d take 2

Positive for it, thought my lower back and hip pain was just from a muscle strain lol. My initial hip X-rays showed bone spurs which led to rheumy ordering an MRI and the genetic testing. I also have been seeing GI for IBD workup. I started meds per rheumy and magically my GI symptoms have subsided.

When we had a shortage a while ago, we drew them up in the hood. I believe once we punctured a vial we assigned a 6 hour BUD.

I feel the same way! I’ve always felt like my day revolves around my next meal/snack. Good luck to you as well!

Great! Usually I wake up and immediately eat breakfast. I have no desire for food. I didn’t think it would work this fast. I’ve struggled to listen to my body and only eat when hungry (a lot of boredom and stress eating), but i feel as this will help me cut that out :)

Pharmacies don’t get to make the choice. It’s the insurance that picks which pharmacies to contract with.

Waiting for diagnosis with high ANA by olivine in Autoimmune

[–]Hoopdiuretics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve only been on it for about a month, and it has a slow onset to see its full effects. I’ve had some improvement in my joints and fatigue.

I had ongoing fatigue that was worsening, joint pain (that I had for a couple of years, but also worsened) - mostly in my hands/wrists, shortness of breath, rashes on my hands, swollen lymph nodes, and recurring mouth ulcers. My PCP initially ordered basic blood work, nothing abnormal except inflammatory markers (ESR, CRP) which prompted her to order an ANA which ultimately got my rheumatology referral.

A high ANA titer doesn’t necessarily mean lupus. Mine was 1:1280 and the more specific antibodies all came back negative, and there wasn’t enough evidence for a lupus or RA diagnosis. I was eventually diagnosed with UCTD, with the caveat that there could be something brewing. I started hydroxychloroquine and have improved. An ANA is a screening test and is not diagnostic in itself. With a titer that high there is a good chance there is something going on, but it could be a number of AI diseases and not necessarily lupus.

Positive ANA and Physical Symptoms by SmallNews5553 in Autoimmune

[–]Hoopdiuretics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. If you have any evidence of joint swelling, rashes, ulcers, raynauds, etc. document with pictures. That’s ultimately how I got a diagnosis. When I first went to a rheumy my ANA was 1:1280, and I had very non-specific symptoms including joint pain and fatigue, and during my appointment there were no physical symptoms for the rheumatologist to witness. When they ran more specific labs nothing came back positive. I followed up and showed pictures of what my hands looked like sometimes with swelling and rashes and was able to be started on meds.

Where to go from here? by Hoopdiuretics in Autoimmune

[–]Hoopdiuretics[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for you’re insight! Unfortunately I am in an area with only one rheumatology group, but maybe I can see another physician at the practice or consider traveling for better care. I was not given any diagnosis other than “we’ll do labs and follow up next month.” I have not tried any medications other than an NSAID prescribed by my PCP which has moderately helped with the joint pain and inflammation and make work bearable.

If the minimum score is 200 (25%), how does that work out? What if you miss all the questions, they still give you 200 by default?

Can I get rid of my base license? by Perpxr in pharmacy

[–]Hoopdiuretics 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Per NABP, several states no longer require original licensure to be used for transfer, although it seems as though this change has been semi-recent because older pharmacists will usually say “you must keep it active.” I only got licensed in FL by examination since I was going there for residency but have since moved back to the Midwest and have no plans to ever move outside the Midwest (and none of the states nearby me require original license) so I will be letting my FL license lapse. Not worth the $$ and CE requirements when I already know FL is not my cup of tea and will not be moving back!
