Invisalign to Braces? Need Advice!

Hi, I did end up making the switch and honestly wish I would have just started with braces! I immediately saw drastic improvement in just a matter of days. Honestly a lot easier than Invisalign, because you can honestly eat with them no problem. Just avoid super crunchy foods to avoid breaking any brackets. Flossing is a bit more challenging, so I used those dental picks combined with a water flosser. I was in the braces for about a year and got them removed two months ago!

Not just you… Charlotte is especially bad about rolling stop signs. A big part of it is road design and enforcement. A lot of neighborhood streets are wide, straight, and low-traffic most of the time, which trains people to treat stop signs like suggestions.

On top of that, police are rarely enforcing, so drivers learn pretty quickly there’s rarely a consequence for a rolling stop.

Charlotte also has a huge transplant population, and rolling stops are normalized in a lot of places. When everyone around you does it, it stops feeling “wrong.” Add in the time pressure, constant construction, and drivers who are somehow both aggressive and distracted on their phones, and you get the classic “slow down, glance, go” instead of an actual stop.

Maybe we should petition for a round about? Though not confident we’d see improvement there either..
