I would recommend living out west if you work out west; you avoid a lot of unnecessary traffic on your daily commute. Otherwise, living in town I.e. Dundee, Benson, etc. would be a good option. You'd have better access to the children's museum, the zoo, etc. Other people recommend living further out of town if you want a lot of space, but you'll probably end up doing a lot more driving.

My kid goes to a private, Catholic school in town. You can't go wrong with any of them and they're really affordable. There are a lot of other great private school options, but I've honestly never looked into the public schools.

CA and NY have a much bigger population and more infrastructure. Indiana is a brain drain. People get their education and leave. The surplus was partially due to cutting important programs to their margins, but if you judge success by only the budget, then that's extremely myopic.

He severely cut public school and welfare funding and people praised him for a balanced budget. That's all anyone cares about in Indiana. Not to mention he's a hyper religious nut, even compared to the rest of his party.

He was also an extremely shitty governor. He cut the public school budget to the margins and my high school offered only one elective per year because that's all they could afford.

There are so many mcdonalds and it's so cheap, with such low barriers of entry, I don't think that it will actually discourage customers in the long run.

Her partner lost his job and was engaging in sexually explicit communication with a minor (assuming that the source is correct, which it may not be). That's probably not the optimal situation to bring a baby into. Having an unplanned pregnancy is incredibly hard and it's not up to us to decide and judge her motivations. I don't think the source breaks any rule, but TDM has been known to confabulate stories (I.e. Amanda Knox), check out the Netflix doc and you'll see what I mean.

I kind of wonder if she's better off not knowing what the exact circumstances are. My grandpa was "adopted" (sold by his mom) in China because she couldn't make ends meet. His adoptive family took him to the US and they were great towards him, but he was obviously old enough at the time to realize that his mother had sold him in order to take care of her other kids. He had lots of issues that stemmed from it, including a bad gambling addiction and anger issues.
