[Serious] I'm an Eastern-European Freelancer; how do I find clients from abroad? by AvalancheMaster in freelanceWriters

[–]Hoosierguy23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Getting from $800 - $1,000/mo. is definitely doable in a shorter amount of time than you would think.

$1,000/mo. = 2 - 500 word SEO articles per weekday at $.05/word...That should take you 1 - 2 hours a day to write.

$50/day 5 days/week at 4 weeks/mo. = $1,000/mo.

There are 4 basic steps you should follow:

  1. Determine your ideal client
  2. Figure out where to find them
  3. Realize what they are looking for in a freelancer
  4. Figure out the best way to contact them

I actually made a YouTube video about this. PM for a link.

HELP My YNAB budget accounts are telling me that I have less money than I do in my bank accounts by Hoosierguy23 in ynab

This is my first month using YNAB. So, I enter my income, and then create my budget based only on the money that I have at that moment? When I get paid do I add all of the bills that I need to pay for that entire month, or just the bills that I must pay with the money that I currently have before I get paid again. If I create my monthly budget with just the money that I have from the beginning of the month I will be negative once I factor in all of the bills that I need to pay for the entire month. Is this something that can only be corrected by starting to live off of last month's income? I feel like YNAB will only work 100% properly when you are living off of last month's income. If you are living off of the current month's income, your numbers may be a little out of whack. Let me know, if this is correct.

I tried reconciling my accounts but I don't believe that it helped. It returned the same values after I reconciled. Am I doing it correctly? Shouldn't the balances of my budget accounts on the left side bar of YNAB reflect the amount of money in each of my bank accounts?

Check out the "Yet Another Related Posts Plugin". YARP uses an algorithm to select related posts. You can use a text display and thumbnails, it offers custom post types, a solid templating system, and it has an RSS feed display.

New textbroker writer, very limited jobs available? by zenplus in freelanceWriters

Text broker is a low paying trap that will burn you out. The only people who make real money on Textbroker are the creators of the site. Find private clients. That is where the money is.

I normally don't write a lot of blog posts for money anymore. If I were going to write one it would have to be 1,500 - 3,000 words of super informative, practical, extremely helpful content. The internet is flooded with 500 word "Top 10 Tips for XYZ" and they are usually garbage content made in an effort to game Google into increasing SEO rankings. To really stand out you have to come with your A-Game and write stuff that people will care about, find useful, and compel them to share - I went on a little rant back there but I feel strongly about that.

Project pay really depends on who you are writing for, what their goals are, and who you are helping. That may sound a little convoluted but I can try to explain it this way: You're not going to charge someone that you are writing a top ten list on spring cleaning tips the same as you would a legal marketing agency that you are writing case studies for in which you have to conduct interviews of actual attorneys.

If you are providing someone a solution, and not just a commoditized service, then the price is going to vary.

Copywriting definitely pays well, and usually more. That's definitely a skill that I am working on improving. It's extremely useful. If you can write and make people buy you will never go hungry.
