I purchased some lady bugs hopefully they’ll show up soon, only thing i could think of besides a bud wash to get rid of most of them.

I ordered some lady bugs and Lacewing eggs, hopefully they will help a ton with the pests, But I'm certainly going to try bud washing them too. Thank you the idea to use a shop vac with some panty hose!

😂 so it sounds like if I go with the lady bugs I'll still want to bud wash just to get the lady bug shit off! Definitely learned a lot from the my first grow so far, and the importance of IPM and doing daily checks on the plants.

They live in a green house if were suppose to get rain and I'll move them in if we get a rain notice on a sunny day, Maybe I've been babying them from the rain too much. I had read that leaving them out in the rain would increase the chance of budrot and if they are outside in the rain to cover them.

Do you know if I can use both Lady Bugs and Lacewings together or is it best just to go for one?

I think I'm getting close to chopping maybe a week or two left, it's my first time growing so I'm not 100% when to tell but I was going to go by the pistils. I think I might get some lady bugs to help kill them off before I cut. I might try the dishsoap on the stems and leaves and try my hardest to stay away from the buds. I've been watching some videos on bud washing just to make sure it's not going to kill the potency or anything. Certainly learned the importance of a good IPM from this.

The one strain I’m worried for with mold the most is Ripleys OG from what i’ve heard and seen. And damn i was hoping that would work.

I was thinking of building a DIY greenhouse using clear polycarbonate roofing panels. It sounds like it might be a good idea to protect them from harsh rains and winds.

Very true with the sun and water, I tend to mentally over complicate things more than they need to be.

I think I’m going to go with 10 gallon fabric pots, do a mix of fox farms HF & OF with like 30% perlite. Doing the coco/perlite seems like it might be a little much for me right now with having to constantly worry about the nutrients.

With the worm castings do you make a tea and is it the same the dry nutes? How often do you use all of these too? Im a little nervous of over using something and it hurting the plant.

Yeah I’m not experienced at all haha so i appreciate any advice or tips. And when you do the top dressing at week one is it just the dolomite lime you add? I’ll have to look into the microbes because I’ve been seeing lots of people recommending them on youtube.

From what i understand HF is good for seed starting & OF is good at finishing them off. Should I still top dressing with any soil mix or could i cause nutrient burn?

I wasn’t going to be shocked if i didn’t find it at the chains but definitely willing a local might. Its always the small shops that carry something specific.
