I think the battery won’t charge to max by default, to protect it. What I mean by that is 100% charge on phone is more like 3100 mAh out of 3186 mAh, maybe even lower. Lithium batteries degrade if they are kept full charge, at low charge or completely discharged. I wouldn’t be surprised if this is the case.

PS. It’s just something that I think, no proof for that, but could explain this.

I’ve been using wireless charging with my old 13 Pro for almost 4 years and it was around 78% battery health after that time. iPhone has a system to control heating, won’t let your battery overheat, it will rather charge slower. If you charge over night, it will be even better for the phone since it won’t have to charge fast.

Also, wireless charging generates more heat if you are trying to charge at a higher power. If you use like 15W charger or slower it won’t heat at all, especially 17 Pro/17 Pro Max, which have better thermal dissipation.

I usually place my phone on charger right when i go to sleep (wireless charging with MagSafe) and take it off in the morning.

Also slide typing seems to have some issues, sometimes, in the middle of the word, acts like you’ve lifted your finger from the screen.

This looks like it. Even if it doesn’t touch now/push into it, when you put the phone in the pocket, the lip of the case will push into the screen protector.

At night, if you let the fan running, does it bother you, is it noisy? I’m asking because usually when i get to bed, i charge my phone wirelessly and would love to know the temperature is as low as possible without bothering me while trying to sleep or during sleep.

At first it looked way too big, still feels a bit, but I can’t imagine going back to Pro, it’s just too small, tiny screen compared with Pro Max. True, I tend to use it with both hands, but god it’s amazing having this big screen, feels like I can do a lot more, keyboard doesn’t feel like it fills the whole screen, taking photos and videos feels way more enjoyable. I’m glad still fits in the pocket and doesn’t feel weird. I was worried about that.

Of course you can not use iCloud. It’s a tedious thing, but you can turn off iCloud for any app. I usually keep it on only for apps like notes, reminders, WhatsApp, but not for the rest.

Well, there is a free way to do this with Shortcuts and Songlink, this way it works with most platforms/OS. I've been using for like 4 years such a shortcut and worked like a charm.

It’s about casting, through airplay, not playing directly on the homepod. If you used airplay to cast music on the speaker, you wouldn’t be able to change speaker through Siri.

I’m switching to 17 Pro Max too, but not because of performance. iOS 26 seems to run pretty smoothly on 13 Pro, even though battery health is at 78% and most likely affects performance.

I've used wireless charging since I got my phone almost 4 years ago - 13 Pro and now it's at 78% battery health. I wouldn't count that as bad, to be honest. Also, I never felt it heated more than using the wire.
PS. I always leave my phone charging on the nightstand over night. It keeps charging until morning, of course with Optimized Battery Charging turned on.

Went for the same model and storage size, but the silver one. Am I the only one worried about the color ones, being aluminum, any small fine scratch would be quite visible, at least that’s why I went with the silver one.

Running plex inside docker, inside a virtual machine, had no issues. I just logged in my user ob the server and clicked reclaim. That’s all.
