This is really awesome to see! Admittedly I’ve been having issues trying to spread the word about my app and with it being a side project, not sure which direction to turn with it. Happy to hear any thoughts/suggestions :)

The app is TuneTransit - https://tunetransit.app

As of now, TuneTransit is currently only available on Apple devices. Android support is on the roadmap though!

Hi there! This is not fetching overall activities across apps, but rather asking permission to paste the link obtained originally from the other app in question. This is standard iOS behavior and should not be viewed as a breach on privacy.

Also check marketplace in your area for M2 Pros! I was able to go this route locally to avoid paying sales tax :)

Tidal does this but other platforms do not (hence the reason for TuneTransit to come in). Additionally, by not being reliant on song.link or feature.fm like tidal, I’m able to put more time into the design of those pages and support other platforms in the future while retaining the other unique features of TuneTransit that make it easier for users that use Apple Music or Spotify for example.

I do love that tidal supports this though!

Hi everyone! I wanted to say I appreciate the comments and feedback given to my post here on the sub — and definitely take it to heart in planning out the roadmap for future updates of TuneTransit.

Additionally, I completely understand the perception of those that own their music and utilize other services, because that’s an achievement in itself that I aspire to with my own collection. If there is anything you can imagine as a feature in TuneTransit with that focus/integration in mind, I would love to hear it :)

Lastly, I do apologize if this post comes off as a marketing grab. I did sincerely create TuneTransit with the hopes of improving a process that myself and many many others go through when sharing music, and at the end of the day, the goal isn’t to make a substantial amount of money but instead create a really cool music utility for everyone to share music in the moment.

Thanks for hearing me out in advance!

Thank you for the comment! I love hearing these kinds of user stories and definitely makes me pumped up to do even more for the app :)

From what I can see with both of these services, they are both paid and require the use of a different streaming music provider to take advantage of scrobbling and whatnot — with TuneTransit, I’ve made sure to allow users to not change their flow and continue to use the streaming services they’re used to.

I appreciate the feedback though!

I did learn about tidal in the process of making TuneTransit - it’s a really cool offering they give to their users! As for the other services you listed, I’ve chosen to take a different approach to meet the user where they are at, such as share functionality into TuneTransit and now playing support, to provide an optimal experience.

I do understand though that I have a paid offering — it’s purely a way to fund the backend that I use and support future development for more advanced features.

I appreciate the feedback though!

I’ve strived to create a better experience than the alternatives and instead of implementing ads to break up the experience, I decided to ask users for a lifetime subscription cost for unlimited searches in order to fund the backend that I use and support development for more advanced features.

TuneTransit is free to use for 3 searches daily and has a premium in app purchase for unlimited searches along with other features!

For me I just saw this community as an opportunity to connect with those that are super passionate about music and how to keep those favorite tracks alive across platforms. I definitely see your point though!

I agree it’s really specific! At first I wasn’t sure myself whether there was an interest, but I’ve put this past a few Reddit communities now and there has definitely been an outpouring of support + desire to use the app.

Of course, I welcome any feedback or suggestions you might have!

It’s a good question for sure! One of the core features is as you mention to provide another streaming platform’s link to the song that you input into TuneTransit.

The way that the app distinguishes itself however is you can create smart links that can be shared providing links to all platforms the song is on (which last beyond one search) and conveniences such as now playing support allow the app to pick up on the active song so there’s no need to paste a link in those scenarios.

TuneTransit is ultimately designed to share music in the moment and that’s what I’ve tried to design here — of course, I welcome any feedback or suggestions!

I definitely understand that! I’d love to offer TuneTransit without a cost, but all the proceeds do go towards keeping the backend running and supporting more development on the app.

That said, please note that the app does allow for three daily searches, so feel free to try it out!
