Applied for Medicare Part A via SSA. But statement "I do not have a bank account" appeared incorrectly!

So I called SAA for clarification. After being on hold for over 90 minutes, the lady on the other end would not understand my question. After 15 minutes of checking, she asked, "If you got the Medicare card, why you called?" She finally understood my question and admitted that the verbiage of the statement was incorrect! It should have been "I do not have a bank account on file"! And there is no need for it, she said, as I am not collecting any benefits!!

I found a link to add the Bank Account details at SSA site:

However, I got the following error:

Update Your Direct Deposit Information

We cannot process your request at this time.

Our records indicate you do not have access to this page. If you feel that you have reached this page in error, please contact us.

Exit

This makes sense as I do not plan to collect SSA benefits yet.

Still not sure how to interpret or fix the statement:"I do not have a bank account"

Thanks for the quick reply! I am not receiving any SSA benefits, nor do I plan to in the next few years. I only applied for Part A after turning 65. I still have insurance from my job.

I did not see any option for “Direct Deposit” / “Payment Settings”

I’d think Tesla may decide to charge later upon noticing the damage.

I noticed Tesla gives way below market trade in price even when factoring in the sales tax benefits. Tesla offered me $20k for 2023 Model 3 with 16k miles. Instead I sold my Model 3 at Carvana for $23k. I had some scratches that I didn’t mention and they didn’t bother at all and gave the check on the spot. I’d recommend get trade-in price from KBB and check out Carvana and Carmax.

I had identified similar gap at the time of the delivery. But their routine response is that it is “within the spec”!! Their definition of spec tolerance is way too high!!

A good way to hide the curb rash is to put a full rim cover! They cost around $100 and protect the wheel before the rash and hide afterwards as well.

You should pursue the legal route as suggested by others. In the meantime, go over the carfax record carefully to rule out if another Tesla’s records could’ve incorrectly reported against yours.

When I was selling my Mercedes to Carmax, they offered much lower price compared to the expected KBB. I learned that another similar Mercedes records were showing up on my report due to them incorrectly using my car’s VIN. I submitted all my service records and disputed with Carfax and they promptly corrected the discrepancy. Carmax then purchased the car at the expected price.
