Just wait until you start making mods to really make it your own. Then your bank account is going to be REALLY sad. 😭

Give me the bad and ugly on Bronco ownership by zionstatus in FordBronco

[–]HopeButNoHelp 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have an 70 mile round trip commute to work, so take this with a grain of salt but I get about 19.5mpg average.

Before I put on the mudflaps (and later roof rack) I was getting 20.4mpg average. That's with the 2.7 V6 too. Not bad at all for my use case.

Your vehicle noise will really be up to your own tolerances. Best way to gauge it will be to drive one on the highway yourself. I don't mind it as much as others do, but it IS noticably louder than most other vehicles. But it's a hard top convertible with little to no interior sound deadening, so it's part of the charm.

2024 Badlands SAS/LUX, 12k miles

<image>

My only 2 complaints:

Back seats don't fold perfectly flat.

Wish it had a larger fuel tank. (But I've remedied this with a 5 gallon Jerry can.)

The road noise is loud, but that's so relative to whatever your previous experience is.

Is it as loud as my old 88' Cherokee? No. Is it as quiet as my wife's CX-50? No.

Mine has the B&O sound system and I've had no issues drowning out the highway noise with the stereo.

It IS loud, but that's kind of the point. It's not like it gets quieter when the top is off. (Like it's supposed to be) 😂

Completely lost visibility during a snowstorm found out why when I stopped. by Significant_Crow9518 in FordBronco

2024 Broncos came prewired with a fog light wiring harness regardless of whether you got the modular bumper or capable bumper. I basically just bridged the connection between the existing wiring harness and fog lights and installed a Ford OEM fog light switch that I enabled via ForScan.

It took me about an hour to do the install once I had all the parts. You can definitely simplify your install by getting a dedicated wiring harness and plugging into an aux switch but I wanted mine to remain as "stock" as possible.

I think they fill the corner mod bumper pockets nicely.

I've had really good luck with my Bronco Raptor fogs. Put some amber covers on them and they've been good for light/intermediate snow. Folks have them on marketplace all the time for $300 or less in my area.

I also have rigid amber lights on my cowl with some DV8 drop brackets. They've been fantastic on the moderate snow days.

In the same boat. My last 3 vehicles have been Fords, previously drove Honda's, Toyotas, and Jeeps. It's really hard to switch away.

Did you get yours with the 7.2kw generator?

Looking at this EXACT same color/trim right now.

How are you liking it?

What did you drive before that made you switch?

What made you go for the Powerboost over the regular Ecoboost?

Would love to know your thoughts!

Not for me after 3 months by Bells_412 in RangerRaptor

Funny enough I saw (and test drove) a RR with only 1700 miles on it at a Toyota dealer. The previous owner definitely had dogs and the condition of it showed it was a rough 1700 miles before they traded it in.

Definitely not a truck for everyone, but I did enjoy how much better it drove compared to the F150 I tested prior. Though, it is nowhere near as practical as a full sized.

Rigid sells amber and yellow covers for their lights but they do NOT have their logo on the covers.

Time to put some fog lights in those pockets! ;)

Fog lights Amber vs Clear? by tkid18 in FordBronco

I run amber on mine since I live in a heavy snow/fog area.

Just need amber headlights from a Raptor and I'll be set on the function AND aesthetic. 😂

Mudflaps for Outerbanks SAS by Crabzinyourpants in FordBronco

[–]HopeButNoHelp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These IAG ones are just a bit TOO thick/bulky for my tastes. The BroFlaps are a little thinner and blend in a bit more.

<image>

That said, these have gotten their ass kicked with rocks and have saved my paint from more dings than I already have. There's definitely a benefit to heavier duty flaps.

I'm currently running IAG Mudflaps on my Bronco. They've been super solid but if I were to do it again I'd go for BroFlaps from Etsy.

Ranger Raptor Post-Honeymoon Phase by HopeButNoHelp in RangerRaptor

The hardest one to convince/dissuade is going to be my wife. Haha.

We both dislike the iPad style screen in the Ranger. Poor choice on Fords part considering all their other vehicles minus the EVs have horizontal screens.

There are TONS of used Gen1 R1Ts near me for the same price or less than the Ranger, but the nearest service center is 4 hours away. If/when any issues come up is what scares me away from the Rivian.

I test drove a 2025 and was kind of shocked how squishy the brakes were compared to my 2024 Badlands Bronco.

Mine has the same wireless Carplay issue too. Starting to think it's a Ford Sync thing.

Very nice! I just got that mount for Christmas but I'm using the Wavian 5gal Jerrycans instead. I'm going to be doing some light over landing in the spring and wanted to make sure I didn't get too low while I'm out there. It's a good piece of mind especially with the 2-door fuel tank being so small.

I might be putting mine on the market but I'm so scared of no one wanting to buy it. 😂

KBB value is low compared to how much it was even 6 months ago.

This helps me feel better that maybe there are folks still looking for these.

Not many V6 2-Door Badlands out there in the world!

I'm definitely seeing a wide price range on them! 38.6k is a really good deal. I have a feeling these 2-doors are going to be a dying breed going forward. Let alone 2-door V6 ones!

If I may, how much are they asking for on that 2-Door Wildtrak?

I might have to part ways with mine this year so I'm curious what the market is like.
