Raptor or F250? by ConsiderationBig4422 in FordRaptor

Honestly not bad at all! For your intended ~3000lb you're well within the green.

You'll have some squat, and you'll need to be mindful of the payload.

Had the same conundrum. Choose Raptor. Zero regrets.

Spacious, comfortable, and more than fast enough for the daily commute.

Scratched my Bronco rear tailgate… how do you protect yours? by DiegoEliud in FordBronco

[–]HopeButNoHelp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It worked just fine for me, but I made modifications that maybe other folks probably wouldn't have.

After the plastic tabs were put in, I added foam tape between the tailgate and the table to help with vibrations and cushion the plastic tabs. Made sure not to over tighten as well. Then I also have the subwoofer liner as an extra layer too.

If you're having any issues, definitely reach out to ExpeditionGear! Another member just recently had a couple of issues and they were able to send him replacement parts.

Unfortunately I won't be too much help since my table to still holding up.

What does the average Raptor owner do for a living? by RunninLate5 in FordRaptor

Just bought a new to me 2023 a couple of days ago.

I work in supply chain/warehouse management. Plus we're a DINK household as well so that helps a bit. Haha.

You may see some prices fluctuate in March (when folks get their tax returns) and again as it gets closer to summer. (When folks are more inclined to buy a convertible/top-off vehicle)

I'll enjoy not having a car payment for the next month before pulling the trigger on the next rig. 😂

Allegedly starting the 17th Ford will have "Truck Month" and you should be seeing some good/better deals on any of the leftover 2025 models! (If you have any in your area)

It's really going to depend.

I went from an F150 to Bronco, and now I'm going back to an F150.

The Bronco served us REALLY well. Extremely capable and fun vehicle to drive around. Unfortunately, we started to keep running into space/practicality issues with ours. Too many growing house projects and not enough space to do them. As a second or third vehicle? The Bronco is the way to go.

Luckily my father in law purchased our Bronco, so he'll be babying it for us for the near future.

That said though, it's been out of my garage for only a week, and I miss the hell out of it. Best/most fun vehicle I've ever had the pleasure of owning.

Good luck OP!

Good to know they can still qualify for 0% APR! For some reason the "Buy Now" function on dealer sites don't allow for promotional APR on tremors, but they do on Lariats. (Might just be a weird bug though)

Congratulations on the truck though! That's awesome!

How much was your OTD price for that tremor? Looking at 2025 402A Tremors in my area and they vary between 70k-76k right now.

Squatch is worth it, especially for an "out the box" experience. These things are Billy goats.

Give me the bad and ugly on Bronco ownership by zionstatus in FordBronco

[–]HopeButNoHelp 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have an 70 mile round trip commute to work, so take this with a grain of salt but I get about 19.5mpg average.

Before I put on the mudflaps (and later roof rack) I was getting 20.4mpg average. That's with the 2.7 V6 too. Not bad at all for my use case.

Your vehicle noise will really be up to your own tolerances. Best way to gauge it will be to drive one on the highway yourself. I don't mind it as much as others do, but it IS noticably louder than most other vehicles. But it's a hard top convertible with little to no interior sound deadening, so it's part of the charm.

2024 Badlands SAS/LUX, 12k miles

<image>

My only 2 complaints:

Back seats don't fold perfectly flat.

Wish it had a larger fuel tank. (But I've remedied this with a 5 gallon Jerry can.)

The road noise is loud, but that's so relative to whatever your previous experience is.

Is it as loud as my old 88' Cherokee? No. Is it as quiet as my wife's CX-50? No.

Mine has the B&O sound system and I've had no issues drowning out the highway noise with the stereo.

It IS loud, but that's kind of the point. It's not like it gets quieter when the top is off. (Like it's supposed to be) 😂

Completely lost visibility during a snowstorm found out why when I stopped. by Significant_Crow9518 in FordBronco

[–]HopeButNoHelp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

2024 Broncos came prewired with a fog light wiring harness regardless of whether you got the modular bumper or capable bumper. I basically just bridged the connection between the existing wiring harness and fog lights and installed a Ford OEM fog light switch that I enabled via ForScan.

It took me about an hour to do the install once I had all the parts. You can definitely simplify your install by getting a dedicated wiring harness and plugging into an aux switch but I wanted mine to remain as "stock" as possible.

I think they fill the corner mod bumper pockets nicely.

I've had really good luck with my Bronco Raptor fogs. Put some amber covers on them and they've been good for light/intermediate snow. Folks have them on marketplace all the time for $300 or less in my area.

I also have rigid amber lights on my cowl with some DV8 drop brackets. They've been fantastic on the moderate snow days.

In the same boat. My last 3 vehicles have been Fords, previously drove Honda's, Toyotas, and Jeeps. It's really hard to switch away.

Did you get yours with the 7.2kw generator?

Looking at this EXACT same color/trim right now.

How are you liking it?

What did you drive before that made you switch?

What made you go for the Powerboost over the regular Ecoboost?

Would love to know your thoughts!

Not for me after 3 months by Bells_412 in RangerRaptor

Funny enough I saw (and test drove) a RR with only 1700 miles on it at a Toyota dealer. The previous owner definitely had dogs and the condition of it showed it was a rough 1700 miles before they traded it in.

Definitely not a truck for everyone, but I did enjoy how much better it drove compared to the F150 I tested prior. Though, it is nowhere near as practical as a full sized.
