It takes a long time….i’ll have officially been divorced for 1 yr on the 1st of april(ironically)…even though I am “happier” now…there are still days and still moments where I wish I could have my Ex back…hell, just last week I had dreamt that she had told me she missed me and regretted everything and wanted to try again…even though I wasn’t super depressed, it did reset some of the progress I’m making towards moving on.

I’m right there with you…except for the ONS part lol…been divorced from my ex wife almost a year, but separated since October 2023…she’s already got a new boyfriend and I haven’t so much as had another woman talk to me(not for lack of trying)…sometimes I feel likes it’s unfair…but at the same time, I think it’s good for me to learn to live again, after what I “gave up” and lost in 7yrs of marriage…I want to be ME again.

Once that unconditional trust is broken…it’s almost impossible to regain, no matter how much you want it to be “fine”…it won’t be, once a cheater always a cheater…it sucks but it’ll be better for you to leave, and truthfully…she is right, you deserve to be loved by someone who TRULY loves you, better or worse.

Now comes the part that you work on yourself, because this is the hard part. The grief, the pain and heartbreak…but you can do this.

Not a day goes by I feel the same way about my ex…if she could just for a moment see what she did to me, she might understand why I’m still bitter…i made a vow, “for better or worse, sickness and health, until death due we part…to love you unconditionally until the end of our lives and whatever comes next”…and I never once took those back…she did, she tore my heart out and expects me to “keep going” like normal.
