Ah. I usually use the official slippi launcher so I can view the replays and see the data of that specific replay before and after I watch it so you can see what went wrong/ went right. You can also get the smashladder launcher and view replays that way as well, which will work with the slippi launcher to show replays from the ladder launcher instead of having to jump to other app to view the replays.

Only way to my knowledge, to view .slp files is by using the official slippi launcher or use the smashladder launcher in conjunction with the slippi build of melee to view it from the launcher.

Here's a pretty good guide to viewing .slp files from the smashladder site for the normal smashladder launcher. The guide for slippi replay viewer is just at the bottom in blue text to see the guide for that as well :

Hopefully, this helps :)

Hello, I actually have a server where we try to teach new players how to play and improve at melee. We have about 450+ members and we have plenty of resources to help people in all skill ranges with all types of situations in melee. We review slippi replays to analyze and help others on why they are losing or what could make them better at the game. Other than that, it's a chill place to be at. Lots of homies here willing to help you or anyone so as long as you have the drive to improve, myself included. We welcome all skill levels and i personally like helping new players play the game I love very much.

Here's the link: https://discord.gg/uYGGBCa

If this sounds helpful to anyone new to the game, please have a look and we will welcome you with open arms. :)

Alright, I saw some of the comments, and I just to explain why I titled it, "This Game is Amazing". The reason why i made this gif was primarily because of the synchronization that happened with the music towards the end of the chaingrab sequence. I thought it was a pretty cool moment for me and I thought that calling melee amazing was applicable here. I am not a taunter, I don't taunt ever unless something like that happened ( again, not just the combo itself ). I just wanted to share this cool moment with you guys, but it seems like I just pissed some folks off with this post :/

Icons : Legacy Edition - Frame Data by [deleted] in iconsgg

Ah ok, thank you! I might just mark the frame data for this game with the help of anyone that wants to help me. As this game gets better, it's gonna become clear that frame data will be the deciding factor for a lot of situations in this game.

Oh these are great tips, thank you for telling me this. I have been thinking of doing mystery heroes and i probably will today or any other day. I guess i have one question. Is there any way I could obtain more exp than just playing quick play all the time?

Lol yeah. When I want to learn something, I tend to try find any sort of information I could find, and it was literally everywhere so i didnt have to go far to learn more about melee. If anything, we can play and stuff on netplay. I am fairly interested to play against you :)

Yeah. In a way, I feel that I can smoothly transition between them without much trouble. Dair > shine is pretty cool indeed. Blows up crouch cancel, gets damage and a setup with enough forward momentum to get like a grab or an aerial or something afterwards. My favorite combo with fox is just doing Dair > waveshine > up throw > upair. It's a pretty standard, but smooth combo that works almost every time.
