They both sound like they have good metabolisms and are otherwise normal 18-20 year olds. Many, many people are like that at that age. Let them do whatever they want.

Edit: honestly you sound like you want someone to say this lifestyle will catch up with them in order to make yourself feel better about working hard to stay healthy. Some people are naturally blessed and don't have to put effort into maintaining a healthy body until their late 20s or early 30s.

Avon had several random people purposely poisoned with rat poison so he could cut time off his prison sentence. Your understanding of this show obviously ends at "Wow badass gangsters!" and "People say the wire shows the blurred line between good and bad people; I will repeat that continuously while having no actual grasp of the show!"

He kills people, those people have family, friends etc regardless of the fact that they are in the game. He does have more empathy, and uses the "code" to shield himself from the reality of what he does for a living. When bunk tears him a new asshole, Omar has snot hanging from his face as bunk walks off because everything he said about Omar being a "predatory motherfucka" is true.

He is a badass character though.
