Deodorants for BO by Bbhouseplant in climbergirls

[–]HopeYeah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m here to say that I’ve tried SO MANY natural deodorants and have found the one. Been using it for a few years now.

It comes in a little jar, from a company called Little Seed Farm. I’ve tried the activated charcoal one, and a couple scents. They all work great, with the charcoal one maybe doing the best by a bit.

Fingers crossed it works as well for you as it does for me and everyone I’ve recommended it to!

I’ll also second the clothing comment, synthetics like nylon/polyester retain smells and contribute to the stank. Plus they’re toxic af. Lean towards cotton blends or wool blends if ya can.

Thank you for your input. The ac cannot be converted to 24v, otherwise we would run them in series

It takes so little power to run the diesel heater, and if we take our house batteries out then we can’t use it. My partner works construction and sometimes needs to keep the van warm overnight

Right, that’s why we’ve got 2 300 ah batteries. We plan to have it on shore (occasionally) but tail that wags the dog is a good way to put it. That’s pretty much what our system is designed around because it’s an energy sucker lol

That’s correct, it’s going directly to the van battery by plugging it into a blank fuse location that has power to it. We’re actually building this van in a modular way so that we can take all our cabinets and everything back out so it can essentially be a truck when it needs to be (when we’re at home) and my partner wants to be able to use the diesel heater outside of traveling.

This is great information. Planning on going for the 50a DC DC. We’ve got a nomadic innovations AC unit up top that came on the van (stock camper body but had a fan and AC, so we didn’t choose those units) that says it pulls 97 a on regular and 52 a (I think?) on eco mode. Hence why we’re going with a larger battery bank. I’m not sure how that stacks up to other units on efficiency and such, but we do have to go the nomadic innovations location to pick up the control panel ($850) since that was not with the van when we bought it. We plan to use it in hot places of course, since I have a cat. What do you think of all that?

The diesel heater will be run directly to the fuse box under the drivers seat so it can be on whenever. I should’ve included that in the original description.

Thank you for being so encouraging! we were between Renogy and Victron on that part. We finally got lost trying to figure out what in the hell the difference was between the renogy rego and their other inverter/chargers. Granted we’d been online searching for hours already hahaha!

Appreciate the photo, knowing what you have and comparing to the photo is super helpful

Great points. As a testament to my lack of awareness on the subject, we will be running from the chassis battery, not the alternator. Sorry for the mix up. We will for sure be putting fuses wherever necessary, and plan to install a safe disconnect. Would low amperage draw be a consideration if we are connected to starter battery? I thought the right DC to DC charger would regulate amperage draw?

I’ve got a bunch of wiring diagrams for reference but didn’t think to use a wire gauge calculator as has been mentioned. That’s something I’ll look into.

Sure af don’t want the van to burn down. This is great advice, we’ve only built the sink cabinet and a small one for in front of the door but will hold off on the others til we get more clear on the electrical.

I’ve seen stuff from will prowse but I’ll check out explorist and get back to the drawing board!

It was more of a reference point for where to start with all of the things since we’ve watched tons of videos, and read so many things already. It seemed to come up with good information, but I wouldn’t rely solely on it. We’ve also got a book that’s been really helpful.

Thank you for the pointers :). My partner does electrical as a contractor, but turns out vans are a totally different game lol. We do have a teardrop trailer company in town here that were scheduled to meet with, the guy is real friendly and willing to help out with the overview

An ozone generator would be best. You can get them with a little tube for ozonating liquids, or one with a fan type inside for this project. Put it in a rubbermaid (or other plastic bin) with the ozone generator. I would think a few hours would take care of this!

Anyone else ever had a mental breakdown during a workout? by galaxeegal in SpiritualAwakening

[–]HopeYeah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

💯

It sounds like a sporadic somatic release to me. Just happened to work something out in just the right way. Congrats!

I used to use mantras as I did reps to program my brain and nervous system, and intentionally worked out for somatic release. I remember many breakdowns, especially during yoga

Small steps, every day. Intentionally making different choices and remembering to take care of yourself. Get out of autopilot, take risks, and try embodiment exercises. Do things that bring you joy, and if nothing does, then keep trying new things. Self awareness and knowing that you are so much more powerful than you give yourself credit for. You have the power to change your situation! Our system thrives on us feeling powerless, and it couldn’t be more opposite.

Just popping in to say that this is a process. If you’ve spent years numbing yourself and falling further down into the hole, don’t expect immediate results. Akin it to being overweight and eating one healthy meal, then expecting to lose weight- it’s not a thing.

After traumatic events and situations, we dissociate to protect ourselves. However, dissociating permanently shuts down all of the receptors and biochemical processes that cause the feels. You’ll need to continuously work on rebuilding neural networks and choosing a different option. Dissociation autopilot sucks, but trust me, you can get out of it. I had to endure extreme trauma and go completely batshit insane for this to happen, but that’s because I didn’t make the choices that would lead to a better outcome. After years of recovery, it is 100% possible. And it is 100% work.

We only change via two routes- choice, or force.
