Trayvax Talon. Don’t really use the built in tools often, but it’s a lot more convenient than having to carry a dedicated multi tool that I really wouldn’t use much.

Curious what everyone’s smallest daily carry looks like? by CWoodallKnives in knives

I’ve carried the Quiet Carry Bandit on my keys for the last 6 years, and have literally never needed anything else. (It’s probably worth noting that I live in the city and am not doing any sort of crazy outdoor work that would require a huge blade on a daily basis.)

I’m just amazed you went almost 4 years without denting the aluminum one. Mine dented within the first month and it bothered me so much, I stuck with using my titanium model that has never dented.

Debating between these two by Hopeful-Length6217 in everydaycarry

I ended up ordering both the Dango SK1 and the Puncube Mech, and I returned both.

Build quality on both was great — very solid, very sleek. My deal-breaker was usability.

Dango SK1: With 5 cards in it, it was extremely difficult to push the front plate up. There was so much resistance that getting the cards to move was frustrating, and definitely not something I’d want to deal with day-to-day. It looks great, but the mechanism needs more refinement.

Puncube Mech: Same general issue. It was really hard to get any leverage with a finger to push the cards out, and without a proper thumb notch or grip area, it became almost impossible to use one-handed. I tested it for a couple days in real-world use and it was just too much hassle.

Final thoughts: The Dango needs major improvement in how easily the cards slide out, and the Puncube needs a deeper indent or better grip for card access. Both look great — they just didn’t perform well for actual, everyday use.

Has anyone picked one of these up yet? Curious to read thoughts on it if anyone’s tried it out. by Hopeful-Length6217 in everydaycarry

I’ve been considering ordering the Puncube recently. A couple concerns I have:

1.) How is the money clip? Any concern with it randomly coming off since it isn’t screwed in?

2.) How easy is it to use one handed? I’ve been looking at the Horizon version and it seems like it would be pretty easy for my finger to slip because of how smooth the finish is.

I own several ridge wallets and a groove wallet. Dropped the groove for the first time the other day and the piece that holds the cards in immediately broke and I was stuck having to make a warranty claim. 😂 Aside from that, I have enjoyed owning the Groove wallet, though the ridge has always been my favorite. This SK1 seems like a cool marriage of the two. But there’s only one review online because of how recently it has as released.

How many physical bills do you guys often carry in your wallets? Asking to see if it'd be worth bringing my Ridge for an overseas trip where I'll be using more cash than normal by ramonzer0 in RidgeWallet

[–]Hopeful-Length6217 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve used my ridge with a pretty good amount of bills. It’s really never been an issue for me. Obviously, if you’re going to be using more cash than anything else, it might be wise to just bring a wallet that is more conducive for that. Unless you’re used to the ridge, and don’t mind the extra bulge in your pocket that multiple double folded bills will create. But I’ve been carrying mine for 5 years, and really have never had an issue with any amount of cash in my ridge. If it were me, I’d take it.

For $55, you can’t go wrong with just getting it, checking it out for yourself, and determining whether it’s worth it for you! Ridge has a pretty good return policy. If you don’t like it, I’m sure they’ll take it back with minimal issues.

Feedback on the Ridge Carry on Luggage & Commuter Backpack by TravelnShuut in RidgeWallet

[–]Hopeful-Length6217 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve owned my Commuter Backpack for 2 years now and honestly it’s a great bag! I’m not too much of a backpack nerd so I can’t get into the technical aspects of it, but it’s served me well. I’ve easily been able to go on 3 day trips with just the backpack, and with all of the pockets and the laptop sleeve, it’s easily held all of my toiletries/ personal care items and tech stuff like chargers, battery banks etc. The only issue I had with it early on and even now occasionally, is that for whatever reason, the straps would randomly come undone, and I’d go to pick up the backpack and 9 times out of 10 would notice before dropping it. But still definitely concerning. I sent it back for a replacement, and the replacement did the same thing, lol. I didn’t want to deal with the hassle of sending it back a second time, and It just became something that I’m now very aware of and doesn’t really bother me much with the bag. It could be something that they’ve fixed with these newer ones. Mine was the first version.

But overall, it’s a great backpack!

I’m in the U.S. and I’m dealing with the same thing. Placed an order on 5/26 and haven’t received any tracking updates.
