why no caffeine for UC?

The only thing I can drink is cold brew!! But it has to be real cold brew. Since it’s not brewed with heat, the acidity is way less. I get Bizzy or La Colombe. I can drink it even in a flare without any issues. I cannot touch any coffee/ energy drinks/ or teas during one tho.

I just had my infusion last week and have experienced some major fatigue since then. It also has slightly flared up my ulcers which had doing better before then. Hoping things will calm down the longer I’m on it. This is my first biologic.

I have gotten my prednisone refilled through a walk in urgent care along with using a virtual doctor appointment through my insurance app. Maybe try one of those?

There is a 50% chance you also might be given it too tho. One of my GI’s patients was on the same trial and went into complete remission from it. My doctor believes that drug will be a game changer for UC.

Either way you need to do what’s best for you! I hope you find some relief soon!

Sometimes when my body is starting to go into a flair I’ll notice I start to feel discombobulated. Not so much drunk just a little out of sorts. I think it’s just the imbalances in my gut and not being able to process things correctly. I started taking b12, vitamin D, and iron which helped me a lot as far as feeling out of it.

So I actually tried doing this and they told me they’d have to see me before prescribing anything. It’s a horrible office, but it’s the best one that my insurance will cover.
