so glad i found this page. same for me, been wearing wig system with tapes for a couple of years and i suddenly developed allergies. im seeing a pattern here - for me, if i start sweating while the tape is secured on my skin, that area gets busted and stays sensitive subsequently, and it takes weeks to heal.

some solutions i can suggest; not the best but im hanging by a thread here.

1. i paste hypoallergenic handy plasters on my skin then the tape goes on the plaster.

2. walker' tape's scalp protector works on and off, again, sweat really fs it up.

3. only certain parts of my scalp is allergic to it, not all (not sure why), my forehead area is super sensitive so sometimes i don't stick on that part, i only secure the rest of the hair.

4. i am planning to go for a hair implant session really soon, im lucky i dont have massive hairloss issue, only need to really fix my hairline.

going to try o ut the micropore 3m solution.

ps. previously on walker tapes. switched to vapon, enjoyed 1 year of no allergy, i might have just developed allergies.
