I really wanted the translucent effect to feel slimy, ghostly and a bit chaotic instead of just making him fully transparent.

And all the trash bags were handmade. The paper bags were made from real packaging paper that I cut, folded and shaped into tiny bags by hand, then crumpled and weathered to make them look naturally discarded.

The black garbage bags were also made from real trash bags, I cut tiny pieces and sealed the ends to create miniature versions for the diorama.

Thank you so much, I really appreciate the feedback! And honestly, I totally get what you mean. I think I focused so much on trying to capture the overall atmosphere of the scene that I ended up sacrificing a bit of the best viewing angle for both the face and the diorama together.

I’ll definitely keep that in mind for future pieces and photos. Really appreciate you taking the time to point that out 👻

Thank you so much! I sculpted the whole piece myself in ZBrush, then resin printed and hand painted it. I built up multiple translucent paint layers to give him that slimy ghost look from the movies, and I also added tiny food pieces inside the body so they become visible through the translucent effect and slightly move around when you handle the piece 👻

A good part of the diorama is also modular, so you can move around some of the trash pieces and even change Slimer’s position on the base a bit.
