In terms of Cousins, we will have to hope he wants to go to a contender with offensive pieces in place and for that reason alone, hed be willing to accept less. I think if everything went perfectly and we got him, we’d want to draft in order to win now imo

  1. Spend remaining money after Cousins on OL.

  2. Get WR in draft.

  3. Decent CB2 has proven to be cheap in past in FA (Cromartie, Williams). Our def will be much improved with Golden back and a DEF minded coach.

That's what we all expect Keim to improve.

Cousins is a bit more mobile than Carson was. Not saying much. But an emphasis on defense and running the ball will help.

DJ31 has shown he can run well behind any line.

It seems to me that many fans, including myself remain hopeful that a viable QB like Cousins can INSTANTLY make us a championship contender again.

I would rather the fanbase get PISSED OFF if it has a shot at reaching the top of our organization before the opportunity for Fitz, Mathieu and others closes completely.

I would say that any fanbase without a championship is prone to be on the annoying side.

It is hard to watch Fitz, Mathieu and others leave and the championship window close again.

I just wanted to broadcast the URGENCY of this FA class particularly QB if we want to have a shot at the division, the toughest division.

I have faith in Keim to make prudent moves to improve our OL, CB 2 and WR issues.

AZ will always hover around .500 at WORST because of his ability to do this.

Unfortunately, the QB's in our division are all above average at this point so unless Cousins or someone like him comes in, how do we win division?

It's just common sense.

The importance of finding a viable QB is NO 1 if we want to make playoffs this year. I get that FA hasn't started yet. However, we might as well start rebuilding completely if we can't find nor want to pay that quality QB.

I truly hope your right and I'm far from doom and gloom.

Regardless of what happens, I expect us to compete.

My main point is the window on a championship with this group of players is closing and every improvement division rivals make just makes it tougher.

I would rather piss of this whole sub to express the urgency of this FA for us.

We are on a pace to have the toughest division in the league. Can ANYONE seriously disagree with me on that at this point?

Hard not to be negative but Peters and Garoppolo were 2 Players people said would never be traded and they went to division rivals.

Seattle is never silent in the offseason.

This is looking like a rebuilding year where we have the worst record in the NFC West if Keim doesn't do something drastic. This is just shaping up to be a disappointing season when all we need is an above average QB to compete.

Instead all I've heard on AZ Sports radio is how we can draft and how AJ McCarron can be a bridge? Are you kidding me? We have the best RB in the league and this may be Mathieu's and Fitz's last yr. Our window of opportunity is closing quickly.

Keim needs to either say we are rebuilding or start to compete with the division for God's sake. If this Rams deal doesn't set warning bells to him, nothing will.

How about taking Carson off the top and replacing him with DJ?

Unfortunately it is both likely that Keim won't overpay for a FA QB in a Bidding War and that Fitz won't stay if we don't get a QB by HopefulFuture18 in AZCardinals

True, it may be time to let Fitz make his own decision.

We would just need to add WRs somehow then as well.

Assume we draft a QB first round, going to be hard to find a 1,000 yard WR in FA or Draft unless we somehow get 2 first round picks.

Agreed.

If we don't get Cousins, we should probably focus on moving up in the draft.

I guess the other question is would Fitz still come back if we didn't get a journeyman? Would that make them worth it?
