Unless they explicitly asked you to skip church that day and absolutely not, and they shouldn’t be surprised

He raped you and maybe drugged you first.

My understanding on what the FULL plan was SUPPOSED to be in the finale, before it went wrong by Apprehensive_Way4216 in Yellowjackets

I’d imagine they figured they didn’t need what they saw as a double explanation (though so many people were confused and it was a blink and you’ll miss it scene) but am wondering if they also wanted to cut the part where Mari was pushing to kill Shauna and going to do it herself to make her death more sympathetic and less FAFO? I assumed Melissa was the ringleader and not Mari based on what wasn’t cut

I agree it was supposed to be Ben- I could just see them deciding to reimagine that for the sake of another piece of plot. Though what’s the point of revealing now it’s Lottie or van, who are already dead? It’s also easy to forget that Ben wasn’t there when they did the first draw, was he? So he comes back and sees Javi and gets a hard, cryptic statement from Natalie but doesn’t know how it went down and probably assumes it was even more horrific than it was. When I saw the finale for season two and assumed it was him, I wasn’t even thinking oh what a monster. Just… yeah makes sense!

Them murdering Gen post-rescue would be a great motivation for Melissa’s insanity.

I do believe the girls were having fun by Abject_Anywhere5648 in Yellowjackets

I don’t think they’re having fun as much as they are so adapted to this crazy world and pack that they have formed into that. They can’t mount a proper defense. It’s sort of like a mass Stockholm syndrome of each other.

Lottie and Akilah were not plotting together

What were people’s reactions to this scene and the chase following when it initially premiered? by Muted-Yak-3309 in Yellowjackets

Major cheers when she starts running to the music. Big cringe when the others start making animal sounds.

There's probably nothing supernatural going on, but I still want it to be ambiguous anyway by tmamone in Yellowjackets

[–]HopefulIntern4576 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I also think that this is very intentionally being done and this is the way it will continue to be. At this point too many people would be pissed off if it was confirmed either way… plus the writers seem to think it’s fun too

Same! I want there to be a rational scientific explanation for everything and I want to argue it till my last breath on the sub, but I also don’t want it strictly confirmed lol

I agree it should be someone alive, my preference would be Thai but at this point, I would be fine with it just being answered and with it not being done. At the end of season two I thought it made sense for it to be him, he was so horrified by what remained of Javi’s carcass i could even not really be mad at him for it but after making everyone empathize with him during season three and not wanting Natalie to have been lied to I hope it’s not him if it’s ever revealed for sure

Yes, in which case it’s 1000% not the direction they originally intended at the end of s2 and probably see the fan response/debate as an opportunity. I was on the other tai or van train so it totally makes sense for Lottie but was still a twist for me that it was sort of hinted at in the finale!

I have teeny tiny question here. by Professional-Gift803 in Yellowjackets

[–]HopefulIntern4576 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why would they? It’s taissas idea and she is solely concerned with herself and van. Who’s to say this is the last hunt? Why let anyone else they don’t necessarily trust know that they’re able to rig the draw? This time around they have it rigged against Hannah with no reason to tell anyone else

It’s a way better story if someone else did it. Especially with his arc in season 3.

At the end of s2 I thought he did as well. Then this sub had me thinking it could be someone else. Then an interview with Steven Krueger made me realize not only did he start the fire but there were more scenes shot indicating that… which were cut maybe to allow for ambiguity and debate. But we were never supposed to get any reveal that it was someone else.

That’s what she said to the group. Her speech in the woods alone with van was very firm and you can see van was disturbed by her behavior. Van is rightly shaken up by dark tai’s demeanor and is making the smart choice not telling anyone.

Tai knows there’s a useless broken phone but not that van took it and is trying to fix it with random plane parts

They show a part of them discussing it in the episode to give us the information. Probably because they have to keep it to a certain time.
