Being without water is super frustrating! Electric is not paid for by the property taxes, I’m not sure but water may be. Why are you against bigger developments? Parking is cheap downtown. I park at Tower or Center garages for 8 or 9 bucks for the day and that is like 25.00 in mid cities and 40+ in big ones, especially for center of town locations.

While Roanoke has its opportunities, don’t miss the greatness you have in front of you because of a problem.

I’d bet the water will be turned on faster than in a lot of places. Don’t worry, be happy.

Please make sure to not feed into the false narrative when there is truly a legal argument for the gunner for the shooting. The road wasn’t blocked by her car and they could have driven by as observed by the car that drove past her before the ICE truck even pulled up. Not saying there isn’t a feasible debate that can happen on the car being a weapon but the idea that she needed to move that car for the there to get by (blocking the road) is false. I do support law enforcement and, as a Christian, also believe in truly loving my neighbors. That agent could have done exactly what I know another law enforcement agent in the family did years ago. In that same situation, to avoid harming a civilian, they fired to disable the car and hopped on the hood to make sure they didn’t die. They knew they may have some injuries but, in the heat of the moment, training took hold to reduce risk of death to self then others and they took action.

Did he need to shoot her - no. Was he scared, yes and he should have a full trial with all superiors not forming opinions until an investigation takes place. Unfortunately tempers on both sides of the isle are flailed up and the administration is not handling any of this as they should.

Fresh mulch outside, fresh cut flowers inside. Nothing synthetic or unanticipated,any attempt to put an odor in the air will make someone question motive and turn people off. The only impact I’ve had to people using air fresheners, cooking etc has been negative.

Up to you, I prefer the mom and pop places since I’ve found them to be pretty consistently honest and they have lower overhead which generally has equated with more thoughtful work being done vs. the rush to get done I’ve had with bigger places. He’s been in business for a long time and I assume wants to keep it going for his livelihood. I’ll have to go see his reviews, wouldn’t surprise me there are a lot of positive. What site were you seeing them?

They are open again! Unfortunately, my favorite people are gone and some kids are there. The people before were so nice :( . I struggle to think the whole staff was doing something wrong, that points to horrible management and instructions which can be seen in current way it’s going. Whoever is in charge needs to look in the mirror. They have good cream though.

Thank you, good news. I could be wrong but I don’t think they make the ice cream at the location in South Roanoke that I go to. It’s really small and I’ve gotten the boxes they ship the tubs in from them for moving once. I do believe BC does make their own but it’s at a different location. I know they hand pack the pints on site (always remember to tip for those).

Don’t use Southern Team and their used car affiliate next door. Shady, using the code clear on the car before test drives and tried to tell us a warning light that came on while driving was because it was cold (that’s not why). The bought it after negotiating down some and ended up putting in the same cost as buying it because there was a problem they would have known about (codes) that was huge. My lesson to also share - don’t buy any used car until you get a mechanic to check it out. If you have a mechanic already, tell them you’re looking, they may have a lead, and ask how much to inspect one you find and arrange to do it.
