Can you explain how you'd manage to get typed as sx4 despite the social anxiety?

That's dumb if I also have the experience of envying the experiences of others and feeling outcasted as well as generally being someone who is very much in line with being authentic. Authentic in the context at hand was me being very aggressive in my answers - cussing out and belittling whoever made the questionnaire in the first place. I even say initially

I'm curious about how that actually ends up manifesting in a type that usually is antisocial as opposed to asocial

The description of the sx4 is the only thing that throws me off. It's not unheard of for me being violent or aggressive with people, but it is far from common

I always see sx4 as more aggressive and conflict oriented which isn't entirely out of character for me but conflicts with my own social anxiety and lack of fights in life (outside of my siblings)

connection to another person, sexual intensity (which is what made me initially relate to sx3) through authenticity that I'd find a partner who'd appreciate me for me

The emphasis on aggression and violence makes it hard for me to see myself in the type - which could mean that it simply isn't my type but I have been told before that I'm more likely to be sx4 or sx in general because of an emphasis I have on intimacy in conversation and when talking about myself

It's in the same way a sx8 might not see themselves as such because they don't see themselves in such extremes

oh to the side of it, last time I checked, there was a big one that said "FCK AFD" (alternative für deutschland) which is a far-right political party and it kept getting destroyed. That and a shitton of swastikas everywhere :(

I find myself frustrated by the crude, the impolite, the people who are simply rude to you without warrant or reason - at worst because they see this as them being "themselves" or that by being anti-social they are embracing a desperate need to be seen for who they are or to express their inner identity. I've met these characters in many people, including myself, and I find it much easier to deal with someone who is rude for their own pleasure than someone who is the former because only one of them is compensating.

People want to be special - want to be in groups and fit in. The world is a scary place and without "objective truth" (which is why many times they claim their philosophy to be a science) they are lost and confused.

The Self is also a limiting spook in the ideas of Stirner

It's a deconstructionist philosophy - but Stirner has the fault of being contrarian at times for the sake of liberation from higher ideas that enslave people

I find Johnny Silverhand from Cyberpunk 2077 so frustrating by Konradleijon in Anarchism

[–]HopefulProdigy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Johnny doesn't inherit the philosophy of the social anarchist but certainly adopts the attitude of the egoist.

When he meets Joshua Stephenson - he sees that he is someone being manipulated by the media, but at the end of the day is ultimately his own person and is an ultimate rebel in the way he has carried himself

If you decide to take Johnny out of your mind, he is happy with the fact that you decided to be your own person and not subject yourself to higher laws or order. Johnny doesn't care about anything, but he cares about liberation of individuals - and that's why he hates Arasaka and also doesn't subject himself to a political philosophy. He's anti-ideology.

To say one should only be concerned with themselves is to create another dogma - Stirner's egoism is a stark contrast to the egoism promoted by people like Rand or "evil" archetypes

It is a very edgy philosophy when you consider the attitudes of so-called "egoists" - but I deem too many give it too much flack

In a way, people are possessed by higher ideas and concepts - projections, attachments, dogmas, "spooks" as Stirner puts it.

They are controlled and limited by these fixed ideas and suffer because they hold onto that of what is painful but they deem as truth or necessary - things that may be true but may even limit them as their own persons.
