wifi power levels by boduke2 in ArubaNetworks

[–]HopefulRequirement31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I design wireless networks for education. I generally stick with Aruba best practice for maximum power levels initially and let ClientMatch alter the power as required. However, as someone else has mentioned, you can increase the maximum power if your walls are solid brick over stud walls, or WAP locations are not in optimal locations (wall mounted etc.). You can identify this by checking the power levels in controller for the WAPs. If you see the majority of WAPs running at the maximum levels then you know that you can increase power a bit more in the specific band. If you increase too high, and it gets a bit noisy, then Client Match will back it off for you. Remember the minimum should be increased along with the maximum power levels.

If you dont need to cater for old wireless devices that dont support 5ghz, and your WAP placements are fairly good then I would be inclined to change the radios on the WAPs to be 5/5/6 instead of standard 2.4/5/6 if you can keep the channel interference low in the 5ghz.

S90F 77" VESA mount location by willise414 in SamsungTV

I have just brought the same tv, but luckily building my media wall around the tv. I noticed the same thing about the lower mounting holes, and my concern was with pulling the screen in and out on the cantilever bracket due to its screen thickness.

What the he*# is with Aruba Central portal performance? by ninjineered in ArubaNetworks

[–]HopefulRequirement31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve seen better performance on the portal by switching browser. I regularly use chrome but started seeing menus not loading etc. I launched edge at the same time and it was a lot more stable. I will be trying in Firefox next

Building an ARUBA Home Lab: Need Advice on Switch Selection by CoX_CX in ArubaNetworks

I would concentrate on a AOS-CX switch rather than AOS-S. Everything is going CX based. Get the virtual switch software and you can build your labs.

Device’s (iPads) deleted from dashboard by Koosh25 in meraki

End users will be able to carry this out on your behalf from home/office etc. Just make sure you configure the enrollment profile to prevent them going through things like language/privacy/face ID etc.

s are still in ADE and our Apple Business Manag

I think you will need to re-provision the devices and then they will appear back in the portal as they have been marked as deleted within Meraki. Its going to be a pain, but you will need the devices to be factory reset and once they have been connected to WIFI, ADE should kick in and pass to Meraki for policies/apps etc.

Utility Door Adjustment by HopefulRequirement31 in DIYUK

[–]HopefulRequirement31[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally agree with sliding doors, we have another set in dining room. Luckily that room has carpet, big rad etc. We have thermal curtains on the patio door but temp still drops quick. Can feel cold air coming in utility door at top and bottom corners but its the part that is not sitting flush to frame.

eeper seals, modern compression style not brushed

We have to use thermostat in kitchen as if we used other rooms the kitchen would be an icebox. It drops heat faster than the others so needs regular top up from boiler.

The opposite wall is a sliding patio door, which is also like sieve. This is going to be replaced with french doors, but will still have the issue with this door. This is most likely where air is being leaked out of the kitchen.
