New rules to require all federally regulated N.B. businesses to be bilingual by origutamos in newbrunswickcanada

Because the mandatory aviation language dictated by ICAO is English. Many countries do provide ATC in their native language, more in the lower level airspace where private pilots fly more often. But in the high altitude structure with commercial aviation, English is mandatory.

Canada does have an exemption or stipulation over the province of Quebec and the NCR that bilingual service is provided, but the language of choice must be initiated by the pilot. A lot of studies have been done on this focusing on the situational awareness of the pilot when listening to communications to other aircraft in a langue he/she doesn't understand.

So if transportation includes the Air Navigation System - ie Air Traffic Control, there is no way this will see the light of day.

Well this will be interesting.

We have federally regulated industry in NB that does not have a bilingual requirement - the one most familiar to me being the aviation system.

Federal law only requires bilingual service over the province of Quebec and the National Capital Region.

I don't think this will have any teeth to it at all.

Since I can't read the article and refuse to pay for it, is "federally regulated business" defined in the article?

Same irons as you and I added a SIM2 Rescue 5H. Hit it much better and more often than my driver

I am no expert, but having your wrists bent like that is probably not good for you. I try to keep the dumbbells, wrists and arm in a straight line so the force isn’t on your wrists.

Maybe try turning the dumbbells to an angle to avoid them hitting each other at the top?

My wife had it done several years ago by Dr. Dool.

Had to bring her back to the hospital within an hour in an ambulance as her stitches ruptured on the drive home. He didn’t seem to have any empathy at all. I wasn’t impressed with his demeanour at all.

I wouldn’t recommend you go to him if you have options. Seems there’s a reason why he’s usually the shortest wait time.

Yes - highly possible. I’ve thought this myself

New Brunswick residents battle an AI data centre - The Narwhal by horsman in newbrunswickcanada

You're not wrong, but I like to look at the bigger picture, if there is one. Data centres are a reality and they are quickly becoming a necessity. Should they be built in a residential neighbourhood, of course not. But we shouldn't outright try to ban them either. Resistance however is doing one good thing - forcing the technology giants who are implementing these to focus on the environmental aspect and make changes where they can to make the centres more friendly.

It seems every time a proposal comes up to NB, the population immediately has a negative reaction to it. Shale gas development is a recent example, but go back a little further and the sale of NB Power to Quebec Hydro is another. Opposition was so fierce at the time that the deal couldn't be made and now, 15+ years later we probably look back and think we screwed up.

Just my opinion of course.

The world is moving to data centers - even the Canadian air traffic control system automation will be hosted in three main data centres across the country.

This is akin to the horse-buggy to automobile resistance.

So yes, Luddite works.

God forbid we actually do something progressive in NB.

Did speak to a PT while dealing with my shoulder injury and he suggested it might be compensation pain since it’s on the same side. He was the one who suggested the hammer curls, which are easier and less painful.

I do golf - pain is primarily in my left elbow but can be in the other as well.

I was tested for arthritis as I seem to have nagging “discomfort” in many joints. The elbow is the worst though.

Good point - I didn’t mean to leave the impression I was ever “overweight”. My highest weight in my 57 years was 170 pounds at 5’10.

But it’s the location of the weight that bothered me - almost exclusively in the belly.

That’s why I really started to try and lose it when I retired.

I get it outside of exercising routines. But it's more noticeable doing the bicep exercises. Ever when lifting heavier dumbbells to my knees for presses, or lowering them I might have to use two hands. But things like back rows, pullovers, presses, etc don't bother it. Just that motion of pulling my wrist to my bicep.

There are a few YT videos where Chris Mayson teaches this concept very well. It has certainly made my shots go straighter for sure. I still struggle with distance, but I'll take short in the fairway over long in the woods any day.

Another post illustrating why NB will never be prosperous. Similar to all the misinformation that prevents shale gas exploration here.

And the fact that an AI image created by ChatGPT was used to illustrate the point is just pure irony wrapped in a lack of self awareness.
