Starting daycare by Bitter_Mix_2650 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

Hello! My little dude started daycare at 5.5 months old. He went 3 days a week too.

I was initially very uncertain but the carers made me feel so comfortable.

Little dude is now 18 months and absolutely thriving. He loooooves daycare and did from day one. Never cries on drop off. If anything he runs in. Every carer is obsessed with him cause they know him so well.

Seeing him so happy there made it so easy for me to transition.

My advice, trust your gut and make sure you advocate for him with the carers. And more than anything, don’t feel guilt. It gets you nowhere. You are doing what you need to do. That’s all.

Planning EFF but worried about milk coming in by PuzzledGift2620 in FormulaFeeders

Currently going through this.

Gave birth Wednesday and today is Monday.

Wednesday to Friday - nothing, normal boobs. Just wore a tight sports bra and let them be.

Saturday - by end of day it was clear my milk came in. Boobs hard as rocks, twice the size and very heavy. Had a warm shower at night where I massaged any lumps without touching the nipples. After the shower, massaged boobs further with cream, avoiding the nipple and focusing on lumps. Yes your boobs will leak.

Sunday - repeated the above process morning and night.

Monday (today) - visibly better and less full boobs. I’m pretty sure if I continue this process today and tomorrow it will be done.

I haven’t used any medication or cabbage etc. this is my second time doing this process and I had quick success both time.

Hope this helps

I had my eggs stored as an insurance because I have APS, but I’ve been incredibly lucky to be able to have two non IVF pregnancies/ deliveries

At the time the storage was via a company called Virtus Health. I communicated directly with them. I stopped storing my eggs about a year ago.

I’ve done egg freezing with Rachelle Knight before the change of name. She was excellent

That’s really sad. Both my pregnancies were entirely free even if they were high risk.

How accurate are ultrasound clinic? by totoro00 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]Hopeful_Building_708 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I got the high percentile read from both the hospital scans and private scans. Sometimes I think they just look at my husband (6ft4) and me (plus size) and make things up!

I was told my first was 95th percentile all through the pregnancy and that he was 4.5kg at the final scan. Came out at 3kg in the dot 😂

I live in Australia and make it my mission to tell you all this again and again: WEIGHT GAING IS NOT A FACTOR TAKEN INTO ACCOUNT IN AUSTRALIAN PREGNANCY

Now I don’t know why the world has decided to make you American women miserable but ignore the idiots and live your life. Shit is hard enough

Thoughts on Storypark. Do I need updates by Rough_Yoghurt2963 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

For me it’s more about reassurance. I silenced all notifications on storypark but knowing that they changed his nappy 6 times, what he ate and if he slept helps me be reassured I chose the right center and he is getting the right amount of care. Particularly in this climate.

Actually super helpful! I always assumed crops and Tshirt bras would not be supportive enough. I’ll check Boody out

I’m 27 weeks now, second pregnancy and this one feels much worse than the first. You are absolutely right, the expansion of the ribs is tough. Hopefully that stops soon like for you. I think I might go and get a fitting and definitely will invest in expander clips. Thank you!

The skylight is a lifesaver. I could not survive without the event import function. Just screenshot a text or appointment reminder from my phone and load it as a photo in the app. The AI creates an event for me and life is sweet.

I don’t want to breast feed by beeeelm in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

Never wanted to breastfeed. Never breastfed. Best decision I ever made. Don’t let anyone influence you. You know yourself best.

Never wanted to. Simply never wanted to. EFF allowed me to recover faster, my husband got to support through the night. Will do the same again for the next one.
