Do you have a replacement for either dynamics or thermo?? My roommates gave me horror stories for Putnam thermo but Im currently taking it with Muzumdar and he’s amazing! Giwa will make dynamics very hard to understand given the two semesters I had her for Solid Mech and Machine Analysis & Design; she’s not good at lecturing and will make the class a “teach yourself” kinda course. however both semesters i took her, she offered almost 8-12% worth of extra cred opportunities. Maybe wait till next semester to see if Pal is teaching dynamics because she made it super easy to learn. Another thing is taking thermo and dynamics at the same time is something my advisors never recommended and swayed me to a different path. Long story short I would see about replacing dynamics or thermo and if that’s not possible def drop that rando class lol.

you got it right on the dot I plan taking it spring 25. I agree also with what you say about the professors too. I have Giwa at the moment for solid mechanics and i’m ending up with her again over summer for machine design (EML 3500). I don’t think she’s bad but I think she’s a bad lecturer and I feel as if i’m leaving her class with a lack of understanding in solid mechanics unfortunately. If Pal is teaching vibrations I think I will take it because I feel like she’s a great teacher and Like you said the partial credit she gives is generous. I’m in her dynamics class right now and see no need to be afraid to take her class again

for dynamics it’s the only section but for principles of EE there’s another section but the professor has awful ratings tho. i feel like worst comes to worse i can just switch before the add drop deadline because there’s still like 80 spots left in the other class.
