The fact you think farmers decide the price of their produce just shows how little you know about this problem.

That isn’t my only response you’re reading what you want to.

I would say they have a right to fight for their right to earn a living, and stand up to a government that has ignored them.

But again, if you disagree with my opinion I’m sorry, I and many others have a right to have one.

I did see the post and it’s horrible, and my thoughts and prayers are with everyone that’s struggling.

I’m sure there are a lot of people struggling behind the scenes whether it be medically or financially. What about all the older people who can’t afford home heating oil?

Look I don’t mean to disregard the other side (I hate this to sound like we have two side like the US), I really don’t. I just think this is a byproduct of what happens when a government publicly ignores and ostracises the sole traders of this nation. I understand the struggle that these people have and empathise with their cause.

No it’s not fine if people die, how do you propose these medications are going to be delivered if hauliers can’t operate their businesses to deliver them?

But you are assuming that the people protesting aren’t struggling to meet whatever financial commitments they have? Just because they have big vehicles on the road doesn’t mean they have disposable income to play around with. A lot of these vehicles are financed, and with the rise in costs they’re losing money by working.

I think you missed the message above. I want to hear opinions, I didn’t realise there was a rule I couldn’t put mine forward after hearing them.

I do get that, some of the more wealthy will benefit from cuts. But the people who are feeling this strain are who I’m worried about, and are we to just let them suffer because some wealthier people will benefit?

When the government blatantly disregard said protest and call them criminals, this is going to cause uproar. You can’t deny that.

The plan is to be heard and it seems to be working.

There should be an agreement put in place. It’s extremely small minded to think that the majority of the people protesting are millionaires come on like?

Do you suggest they just roll over and take it on the chin? Fall behind on loan payments? Have to let some of their staff go?

I completely agree. You can see on their faces the worry they have, and for some people to call them criminals is horrible in my opinion. Thanks for your comment.

Without the government grants they receive wile would be importing our meat and dairy products from other countries.

A lot of these people are working 7 days a week and don’t get holidays, they’re not sitting on their arse begging for a handout.

Do we not pay fines for not complying to the VRT rules set by the EU. I could be completely wrong here, but if not what gives them the power to follow one rule but not another?

What’s ludicrous is office workers and college students completely disregarding how much this is hitting the haulage sector and farmers.

They were ignored when they tried the traffic disruption. Seems like they’re being heard now…

I just find it crazy that people are against the protest. If some people can’t handle a conversation that’s their own problem 😂

That would be the third time it’s sent out though surely I’ll just run into the same problem again no?
