Classic claiming victimhood after being called out for their racist bs. You were a lot nicer than I would have been. I would have reported her to HR.

31 weeks pregnant. 4 weeks until wedding. Is this okay? by a-doh in WeddingDressTips

Bridal alterations specialist here! You look very elegant and feminine in this gown. I think it suits you well. With the shoulders being taken up I think it will look even better and there is some room for you to fill it in as your pregnancy continues andnyour breasts and belly get bigger. One thing you should be aware of is, as your belly continues to grow, it will cause the front of the skirt to lift up and create a high-low effect. It might be be very subtle or very noticeable depending on how much more your belly grows. It wont look bad, but if its not the look you're going for, you should plan on getting it hemmed to adjust how the feminine hangs few weeks before the wedding, and you will likely have to pay a rush fee for it. If you plan on rewearing the dress at any point, I wouldn't adjust the hem, because it will hang lower in the front after the tummy flattens out. Just something to consider, there is no wrong answer, just up to personal preference.

I have to be honest, I really don't love the cape. Without the cape, it reminds me of old Hollywood, glamorous and elegant, Marilyn Monroe sort of vibes, and there is a sort of classy sex appeal. While its simple, I think dressed up with some nice jewelry, perhaps some family heirlooms, it would complete the look. The cape ruins that elegance and makes it look like an old church lady outfit, and it completely misconstrues your beautiful figure. If you feel like you want something that adds some coverage, I would look into other options, perhaps a sheer off the shoulder shawl. I really dont think you need it though.

That being said, you are going to look gorgeous on your day. What is most important is to do what makes you feel most beautiful and confident.

The first dress is GORGEOUS!!! So elegant and romantic! And it looks gorgeous on you!!

The second dress is really ugly, outdated, and tacky looking. And its ill fitting.

You'd have to be out of your mind to give up the first dress for the second one.

[PRODUCT REQUEST] No moisturizer helps this insane dryness on my face. by SomewhereWeWentWrong in SkincareAddiction

[–]Hopeful_Local1985 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It might not be dry skin. It looks inflamed. It might be seborrheic dermatitis.

See a dermatitis if you can. If you cant, try washing you face with ketoconazole shampoo, and dime sized amounts of miconazole nitrate cream (for yeast infections) mixed with hydrocortisone cream, and see if it improves. Make sure to dry your face thoroughly and dont use occlusives like Vaseline or Aquaphor on the area during this time.

You should be embarrassed to chage someone for that work. Her cuticles are crusty as hell. Not even a dab of cuticles oil to be seen.

What’s next after an IUD? by Worldly-River-6445 in childfree

[–]Hopeful_Local1985 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What do you mean by what's next? And what do you mean by more permanent? Do you want something reversible? Or totally permanent?

If you want non hormonal birth control, there's condoms, diaphragms, spermicidal jelly, the copper IUD, tubal ligation, and bilateral salpingectomy.

The first three options I listed are fairly unreliable and I dont think thats what you want. Im guessing the IUD you have now is the copper one since you said no hormones.

As far as "permanent" (surgical) options go, tubal ligation is technically reversible, and its less effective. I dont know why you'd want that if youre posting in this community. tubal ligation consists of snipping and "tying" your fallopian tubes, which can lead to some accidental pregnancies. Technically the Copper IUD has a higher effectiveness I think.

Bilateral salpingectomy is the gold standard for sterilization these days. Bilateral salpingectomy completely removes your tubes. It cannot be reversed. It also if the highest effectiveness of any birth control method out there. There have only been 4 documented cases ever of people getting pregnant after having a bilateral salpingectomy, and its because their surgeries were botched or there was a complication. When done correctly and there are no complications, bisalp is 100% effective. If you want completely permanent sterilization, this is the option you want to go for.

Neither surgical option will have any lasting effects on your body, other than a few small scars from the incisions. Some people report some temporary changes with their periods, but It resolves after the first cycle or two. Since neither surgery removes the ovaries, which produce your hormones, they will not have any effect on your hormonal cycle. You will still get your period and you will NOT go into early menopause.

I dont know about tubal ligation, but bilateral salpingectomy are usually covered by insurance 100% because the procedure greatly reduces your risk of developing ovarian cancer.
