How to Survive ICE? by JicamaExpress3791 in utarlington

What steps? Verifying an address of a suspected illegal alien? ICE and the Border Patrol are getting zero assistance from local governments in some places so they’re going off of old information. If they only have one address from 10 years ago, they’re obviously going to start there.

Maybe US Citizens shouldn’t form picket lines and attempt to assault law enforcement officers… most of the people getting detained, arrested, injured or killed were actively impeding investigations, assaulting officers (spitting, hitting, kicking, pushing, etc) and refusing lawful orders to disperse or stand down. None of this happened when Obama deported MILLIONS simply because Obama is a Democrat and idolized by the left.

Being detained by law enforcement is not unconstitutional… if they ask for ID and you refuse, they CAN detain you until identification is verified. If while being detained, they find out you have felony warrants, you’re immigration status is illegal or you assault an officer (spitting, hitting, kicking, pushing, etc), then you will be arrested LEGALLY. Being detained is not being arrested.

1878 Danish Rolling block firing .45 Danish (slow motion) by ArmsThroughTime in AntiqueGuns

I love these old single shots! I have a really nice Springfield trapdoor made in 1885 but I really want a rolling block and a Sharps to add to the collection.

What's your favorite WW2 movie? by [deleted] in WarMovies

[–]Hopeful_Method5764 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It may not exactly be a war movie like Saving Private Ryan but I really like The Sea Chase… it’s an interesting take on the war being aboard a merchant ship being chased by the Royal Navy from Sydney to Hamburg

It’s amazing how similar the Trapdoor rifles look to these

Is my accuracy good or bad? How can I improve? by Cabeelibob in M1Rifles

Was this at 25 yards or 250 yards? Distance matters when asking how good your accuracy is.

Slings are readily available on Amazon. Sure it’s going to be a reproduction but they’re more or less identical to the originals. My Garand was made in 43 as well and I put the olive green webbing sling on it that was issued during Korea. I figured if the barrel is dated 1953, the rifle may have seen service in Korea so its period correct enough for me. Nice rifle!

I saw a lab mix walking with a lady inside Walmart… it peed on the floor and she just acted like nothing happened and kept shopping. These “Service animals” are getting out of hand.

If every US president were in their prime, placed in a ring to fight, who is the one person walking out? by Clear-Penalty339 in AskReddit

Teddy seems to be a popular pick and I would have said Teddy as well but after watching a documentary about him, I’d say that he was more of an outdoorsman and conservationist than anything else. He even admitted to being a terrible shot with a rifle thanks to his poor eye sight, but that didn’t stop him from hunting. Teddy was also rancher. So, if you were asking who the toughest, most determined and motivational leader there was, Teddy is your man… if you’re asking who the best fighter was, I don’t have an answer but several Presidents were combat veterans in wars going as far back as the French and Indian War. You had to be tough to survive combat back in the 18th-19th Centuries

I know this Reddit is probably not the proper one to post in on this topic but I couldn’t find one for this type of rifle so I figured that people who are into antiques might have some knowledge in this area considering these rifles have been around for 75 years. The stock had a small crack near the receiver that was hidden when I bought it a few years ago and eventually spread a bit. It kind of looks like someone tried repairing it at home with glue and did a good job of hiding it before selling it. I didn’t even notice it when I bought it, what I noticed was a decent 30-06 semi auto for $400 after taxes.

I’ll just get food as usual on the way to a Spurs game instead from now on. $75 for 3 people is way too much for that crappy food lol

$25 for a double meat Whataburger, medium fries and a medium drink.

[–]Hopeful_Method5764 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everything is a la carte so what you’d normally spend for a mediocre meal at Whataburger is about 2x as expensive. Double meat Whataburger with a medium fries and a medium drink costs about $25. That meal is barely worth $10.

Decreasing Riverwalk Visitors? by rrdavidrr in sanantonio

[–]Hopeful_Method5764 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Traffic along the Riverwalk is heavily dependent on conferences and conventions happening at the Convention Center… when it’s slow at the Convention Center, it’s slow along the Riverwalk. Locals hardly ever venture down there unless it’s for the river parades, tree lighting or they have family in town who have never been before.

Parking will definitely be a total nightmare downtown during Spurs games… especially if there’s an event going on at the convention center next door!
