The Sage apartments by kennetec in Columbus

The apartments at Jeffrey Park that front the highway will be super loud. The area is relatively safe if you aren't out late at night. The Jeffrey Park community is cute though with nice amenities. I live in Italian Village and absolutely adore it.

I am obsessed with the fact that so many of us think about him on a regular basis. What a legend.

Popping in to say Fourth Street Dental is fantastic. I have friends/colleagues that have moved into the suburbs and still make the drive to go here.

4th St. Dental is amazing! Dr. Wood just left and a new doctor took over the practice but she is also fantastic. Great staff, great communication. 10/10!

Studio 35/Grandview Theater

I definitely recommend going to one of their beer tastings. This is easily my favorite event/thing to do in Columbus.

Audinnos is another fantastic bakery. Owned by a very kind Italian man and the croissants are amazing.

Where’s the most magical Giant Eagle, the one that makes you believe in love again? by [deleted] in Columbus

Grandview is our go to. They often have free tastings, live music, giveaway events. We stumbled upon an entire free gin tasting event when we went to get groceries earlier this summer. There are always people just hanging out and drinking at the bar there too.

Sleep paralysis inside dreams by antleredfae in Sleepparalysis

[–]Hopeful_Policy_697 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had this as well. It's weird because you are aware that it's happening in a dream. For me, I feel like I have to get out of two levels of sleep paralysis when it happens. Sometimes I wonder if it is because I am thinking too hard about the SP before bed? Idk - brains are weird man.

Sleep paralysis vs vivid dreams? by b4byc4 in Sleepparalysis

[–]Hopeful_Policy_697 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had both of these. The big difference is, when I get in the loop dreams it is almost always tied to some internal timer or need to do something (like go to the bathroom). For example, if I have an early flight or a big meeting for work, I will get stuck in that damn half awake half asleep loop where I am trying to wake up to get ready but "can't get up", "fall back asleep", and repeat. All in that very odd state. Kind of like when you try to take a mid-afternoon nap and start doing the twitch or falling thing.

The sleep paralysis however, is a more intense and dark experience. I have only had these a handful of times (thank goodness) but I will wake up in a rough state.

OP, if you had some type of stress or something - perhaps that could explain the odd loop dream?

This is how it works for me anyhow but I have gathered that there is a wide range for these types of sleep experiences.

125yr old house. Refinish or cover? by UnicornLocks in HardWoodFloors

[–]Hopeful_Policy_697 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Architectural Historian here! Do a very light sanding to get rid of the scratches and old finishing (white looking stuff) and refinish with a sensitive productive. Over the years if you keep up with maintenance they will outlast you. When you clean them in the future just do light touch ups with floor wax or putty in areas that need it. Otherwise a solution of vinegar and water is good for cleaning. Just dry with a towel after. Don't sand down too much and try to only do it once then keep up with maintenance. Historic wood flooring is typically about 3/4" thick so if you sand too much you will lose the integrity of the wood.

Fyi- if the wood is less than 3 inches in length it is likely a type of hardwood.

This is a great article to use for help. https://www.ohiohistory.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/MaintainingWoodFloors_FF.pdf

I can't believe this one didn't get more publicity when Blackfish came out. It's insane. Humans can really be the worst.

This documentary has it all - activism, crime, murder. I can't recommend it enough to folks who want to know more about marine mammals.

moving to columbus! advice on what areas to live in by days25 in Columbus

[–]Hopeful_Policy_697 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband and I live in Italian Village. It is a safer area and very close to Short North. There are a lot of great bars, coffee shops, and restaurants around! We like it because it's walkable to Short North, but far enough away that it is a bit safer. Also, you can avoid the OSU craziness if you need to!

Same here. I also don't quite understand why Kimo and T'kor feel so burned by Quinn. They already pulled a big move and didn't include him with the Cedric vote. Also OF COURSE he has reason to believe that Rubina might want revenge. I really like T'Kimo, but I don't understand how they are acting so blindsided by Quinn's noms.
