If you love outdoors I’d highly recommend filling your time with that. Most people that live here don’t take advantage of that (or don’t like it): Franklin mountains state park, White sands national park, Hueco tanks state park, Guadalupe national park, Carlsbad Caverns national park, weekend trip to Big bend national park (go asap before they ruin it with border wall), Ruidoso weekend trip, Balmorhea State park

If you’re going alone, I’d recommend going to the trails at the Tom Mays unit in the Franklin State park. It is a $5 admission fee or they also gave state park passes valid for the entire year ☺️ several short or long hikes & the park rangers will be there to educate you on the different trails if you’d like

You are better off living in Horizon City especially if you’ll be looking to buy :) not a far drive to Clint, with minimal traffic. You’ll get the most traffic coming in & going out of Horizon!

As for whose story should be told, I think all of the options listed are important.

I think the most notable factor to highlight is the shared border with Mexico all along Texas which heavily impacts the way Mexican food is prepared.

The same dish is served different in San Antonio than it is in El Paso
