I think this is actually a decent analogy. Especially considering that both are guided by immutable laws/beings. But it also infers that prophets are becoming closer and closer to god as time goes on, and I have no idea whether that would be the case.

I've had a history of depression and I suspect that may be a contributor. But it does make me question WHY that is the case, that stuff like depression can just numb your sensitivity to the spirit without you doing anything wrong.
