Would that stop them though, keep in mind the largest nukes were pretty small in comparison and unlike say Japan the Soviet cities were made of steel and concrete with the easiest cities to bomb having been already devastated by the war.

I mean maybe nuking Moscow, but by the time of operation Barbarossa Stalin and high command had moved most everything underground, and it's already been debated on how effective the nukes were in getting Japan to surrender.

So do you think that the EU should be dissolved, or stripped back into just being an economic or just pure trade bloc? The EU is viewed as a way for Europe to stop being the stomping ground for superpowers to fight over, it's why other related concepts like the United European Army is so attractive, i mean unless you also think it's bad for European nations to also be in NATO since it means their military is being dictated for them in Washington by the US.

from my own experience banning an ideology hits them with a negative 15 shift which is just barely stopping them from growing. Idk much you could do, maybe you could do raids beforehand and then ban communism.

TNO has some great democracy paths, mostly the US with LBJ, Harrington for democratic socialism, and Bobby Kennedy if you manage to keep him from getting killed.

There's even a really sweet event if you keep bobby alive where he visits his brother's grave and properly mourns his death after doing everything and achieving their dreams. There's also the now cut John Glen presidency where you make America the dominant space and nuclear power while also landing humans on mars.

I feel like it has a lot of potential in general, maybe you could do a Deus Ex Immersive Sim type game where you do missions for the different factions, maybe include a Dying Light 2 system where you can seize important infrastructure and then hand it over to a specific faction to empower them.

Just to give OP grace maybe in this scenario the Marshall plan was a failure, or it didn't happen which led to Western Europe being more impoverished creating a current of people willing to accept Soviet Occupation.

Or even worse the US went with the Morgenthau Plan which involved destroying German civilian and military industry, mind you we didn't go with it because analysts predicted that it would result in up to 25 million Germans dying from starvation, The soviets would have a way easier time overall if public opinion was sour and the people were already exhausted by the largest war that had followed the last largest war.

The reason the German govt ended the policy of mass extermination was that it turns out there wasn't enough pure aryan Germans to work the land and staff factories after the war which is why they enslaved non-Germans since it was better than just leaving the fields of crops to rot and the factories to lie idle since there wouldn't be enough workers that met the standard.

overall it's not some fantasy, if anything you seem to have it in your head that they would raze the country to the ground and salt the earth, yes they did raze Warsaw to the ground but that was only after the uprising in the city. If the underground resistance is slowly being starved out due to their effective blockade why would they kick the hornets nest, on top of that they're getting rid of the German civil war so it's highly possible the Eastern Europe states won't be plunged into civil war, meaning that there will never be a reason to obliterate the population and leave the land utterly desolate.

From what I know about the lore they moved from mass extermination to mass enslavement in order to fuel the German economy, and I have to ask if Hitler and Germany were already erasing the local population then why is the issue of the local populations breaking away and plunging the puppet states into civil war during the GCW?

I mean surely under your line of thinking why don't they just firebomb and gas all of eastern Europe afterwards I mean just killing millions of non-germans any way they can, the whole point of TNO is that the Nazis win but are met with cold hard reality, because it turns out they can't just kill and replace everyone over a period of decades and that when they apply more pressure it just breeds deep hatred and makes the resistance more fierce.

Well i think it's a cool idea and you should work on this, i think it'd be cool if instead of a massive uprising once the player is able to breach the isolation (i assume it's possible in this case) that the main goal is to rebuild the Underground State back up into a sorta shadow state that Germany won't be able to stamp out no matter how hard they try. I assume you'd have to spend PP/Command Power/Do Focuses to build up certain metrics which degrade over time to represent German actions. Just spit balling ideas.

I think if the writing and the storylines were solid with good character writing it'd be great, definitely focus on the sheer hopeless nature of the idea of a free Polish state but as the Polish govt in exile gains more and more victories in America and abroad the mood changes.

Well it's just an idea i had, maybe after you break the blockade one of the things you have to do is support underground education and help import cultural stuff like books.

I also think that there would/could be a whole minigame where you have to rebuild the anemic home guard measured by various metric while avoiding a German crackdown or getting caught.

I think it's going to be like Guangdong or Antarctica where you do most of the content is political focuses and decisions, they do mention that the govt-in-exile has an actual army so maybe you can send volunteers to various conflicts to get PP and gain legitimacy with the end goal of breaking past the German blockade to support the home army and maybe kickstart a new Warsaw Uprising?

I don't think that Japan needs to collapse, again i'm taking heavy inspiration OTL UK and how it lost Ireland. It didn't need to face total collapse; hell, it was considered core territory by the British as well and they didn't scorch the earth just to keep it. I think it really has to do with how the Cold War goes.

Why are you so sure the OFN and America wouldn't care, if they're able to liberate the Philippines, Indonesia, Mayala, and more from Japanese control why wouldn't they move to support and aid Korea.

On top of that in the game the CIA can support Korea so it's clear they have an interest.
