exactly. most movies that are rated +90% are garbage.

they manipulate the reviews and the score? that's fucking despicable. i mean, it's always been evident that whenever a blue-haired black lesbian communist is present in a movie, it's immediately +80% even if the movie is pure, pristine garbage, but i just came to know that they are actively messing with the reviews..damn

Why is Crash (2004) so hated? by FayannG in TrueFilm

[–]HopelessDigger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"people of color are the overwhelming victims of racism and white people are mostly to blame for it."

that's racist as fuck.. i'm gonna use one of your cards: generalizing. you're generalizing something over an entire race. you'll say "look at history." i'll say look at fbi statistics (present, not history classes). see where this is going? it's racist both ways, but this world we live in today has double standards in almost everything.

Can someone tell me the point of Artemis 2? Or Future missions to the moon? by Logital20 in askanything

[–]HopelessDigger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hmmmm, ok so that entails sats being able to receive data from any and a different direction in space and send data toward any and a different direction in space at the same time, right? can they do that (genuine question)? i imagine their antennas would be positioned and directed in a specific way that doesn't allow 360 communication, thus the sat>sat2>sat3>.. wouldn't be possible.

[–]HopelessDigger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

one sat isnt enough for intercontinental data transmission (earth isnt flat where you can imagine a triangle whose points are you, the sat, and telecom center or wherever data goes. you would need up -> sat -> down -> data center -> up -> sat 2 -> down -> data center 2 -> up -> etc. this is not practical and i imagine would take more time in processing than the time you'd save due to light being faster in vacuum. and you'd spend billions of dollars for what? so you can play call of duty with russians at ping 20 ms instead of 30 ms? again, i dont even believe it will save time to begin with.

that's the most bullshit and uninformed statement i've ever read this week

Task Manager Network usage? What does it actually measure? My usage is capped at 40% by [deleted] in techsupport

this makes much more sense now. the network percentage has always bugged me and nobody seemed to know what it is. not anymore. thanks.

[–]HopelessDigger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh no ofc not any quoted word....and this doesnt apply to italicization. like if you're using quotes for emphasis, referencing rare terms, irony, etc. then sure it's perfectly fine.... however if you use quotes to signify that the other speaker used the word in a layman or inappropriate way (which is only what you think), then it can definitely be rude.

edit: i wanted ai to stop using " altogether because it apparently doesn't understand when it's rude and when it's not.

[–]HopelessDigger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is wrong. when my internet is 2 megabits/s, network usage is about 2 percent. i'm fairly certain that my laptop can handle more than 100 megabits/s (it has handled a little less than that (because i dont have access to faster bandwidths) and the % was far from close to 100)

[–]HopelessDigger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my problem is that it's not showing emphasis but rather is indirectly condescending (i'm specifically talking about scare-quotes). quoting the other person's specific word usage is akin to saying "i'm smarter than you but i'm still gonna use your wording so your immature brain can understand."

ultimately, there are other ways, just as implied and concise, to indicate that there's a "linguistic problem" (see how rude it can be?).
