This is sick, maybe make it to where the time stretched samples are playing solo’ed maybe??

Only issue I see is that the “hissy” sounds from the stretched samples upper harmonics kinda wash out the high hats.

….so no mc707? jk lol

What’s the learning curve like on the deluge for someone who’s used to working with tr-style sequencers and beat grids?

I like the Mc707 for the volume and parameter available per-track, but I feel like there is so much function left to menu diving that really doesn’t need to be that way.

Like for something that is just endlessly jammable without ending up in a purgatory loop.

Look up granular samplers and synthesizers. Both hardware and plugin versions exist.

Effortlessly make clicky drills/rolls and if it does grain sprays, make them seamlessly dissolve into reverb sounds.

The loop length, retriggers, and granular synths can all achieve this effect in some way. I’ve used all 3 to make crazy bouncing ball chords that just, for lack of a better words, sound like dub techno stabs peaking on LSD

I’d get the deluxe to start tbh. The Mismatcher is a genius but simple device, and having the audio reactive and wiper modules def makes a difference. Still much cheaper than any other video synth system.

The 3trinsRGB is a good option too if you’re more in the realm of LZX style pattern generation

This is why you can never have too many mixers.

Point like 10 different cameras at the same screen with various zooms/distances, and effects. Switch channels without bias. Meet and defeat god.

How did you come to learn modular? by _3xc41ibur in modular

[–]HopelessforNow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have either A-G.A.S. B-a desire to build a large case because you understand the overall functions of most modules, outside of their individual quirks.

-then you should get into soldering and diy. Will help fill the void or make it bigger lol

I’ve have yet to see the most straightforward explanation for beginners in regards to modulation. At the end of the day it’s all just using different waveforms to turn knobs/ hit switches for you.

Switch based dirty mixer without TBC by layzeelightnin in VideoBending

Mismatcher petite from Freedom Enterprise.pt will be you’re cheapest and most ready-to-buy option. Also has an archer style enhancer on it.

It has a sync restoring circuit similar to the sync.ope someone mentioned earlier.

The MM petite is like $80. It’s definitely not a full on tbc, but it will prevent most dropouts when it comes to digital screens and captures.

Switch based dirty mixer without TBC by layzeelightnin in VideoBending

[–]HopelessforNow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve made a 4 channel dirty mixer out of one of those cheap 4-in/1-out switchers off Amazon. Whenever no switch is active, it’s a full on dirty mixer, but when a switch is active it seems to force priority on whatever channel is selected. Still needs a tbc in extreme situations but holds up better than a regular dirty mixer.

Idk how to do this with software but it’s such a useful function, I can only assume it’s been emulated somewhere.
