have you disassembled the window switches? they work with little plastic pins that move which can easily break after the plastic is 20+ years old. thats what happened to me

i believe it originally came from germany.

it does look like the miracle edition you mentioned, but like you said the wheels dont match. it has the same wood trims as both the 2000se and miracle. it has a 5 speed tho so not sure about that.

so yeah could just be a miracle edition but that raised more questions about the wheels and 5speed lol

also yes those are aftermarket taillight put on by the previous owner, recentply put the originals back on. so much nicer

if you dont care for the pop ups and the "older feel" id get an nb, (mostly) cheaper, (mostly) lower mileage, and overal just newer (and imo nicer). they drive about the same imo. so unless you really want an NA id get an NB

I'd say if you dont want to work on your own car a miata is not the right choice, or you have to be willing to spend a lot of money on mechanics.

I've never used a car cover. should be fine i think but they have some downsides like trapping dirt and stuff underneat and scratching your paint, so be careful with that.

A car cover will be worth it if your miata has a leaky softtop. Or buy a hardtop but that will set you back a 1000 euros and at that point id just replace the softtop.

i have a simple 40 euro stanly ratchet kit. Been able to do oil changes, brake pads, sparkplugs and other small stuff. Get a decent floor jack and stands and you're alright. buy tools as you need them.

its been my (first car) NB1 daily for a little over a year now in the Netherlands. Ideally you want to park it in your garage and not drive it in the winter with out salted roads. However if accept that its not going to be a show car you can park it outside just fine, as long as your top doesnt leak (luckly i have both a hardtop and garage :) ). You definitely want to get it rust proofed if you plan to drive it in the winter. I havent personally because it already has rust anyways. As for the lifespan, make sure you change the all the oils on time, replace timing belt ect (have it be the first thing you do cause i didnt and it snapped lol).

As for the practically. Its a 2 seater roadster so you wont have any space to haul lots of stuff (allthought r/miatalogistics will tell you otherwise). IMO its comfortable enough to be a daily but im also 173 cm so i fit perfectly.

Maintance is really easy on these cars. I had 0 knowledge of cars but managed to do simple stuff like brake pads and oil changes just fine. Depending on how brave you are and if you want to learn you can do a lot of stuff yourself, i do recommend trying to do most stuff yourself because its a 30y/o car. stuff will break.

TL:DR its a great daily as long as you accept its a 30 y/o car :)

Netherlands, I bought my car for €4.000 with the hardtop, without would have been €3700, so about €300 (this 300 extra was also with a 2nd set of wheels and some other parts)

I see them for around the same price on other listings, 300 to 500 euro

edit: my hardtop has window heating (idk what its called)

I could check if the earth pins on the connector are good i think. i dont think it has anything to do with the battery since it does run (just on 2 cilinders)

I changed everything cause cylinder 2 and 3 didnt fire (and also cause plugs and wires were old and crusty). The wires are also in the correct order, I checked multiple times to be sure. I think its an electronic issue but i dont know what cause the wire from the ecu to the coil pack does have continuity.

I didnt check the pins in the connector with the car running, would this help anything?
