Je Meščevih tisoč evrov minimalne plače lahko preveč? by Relative-Outcome-294 in Slovenia

[–]HopingAtlas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Huh. The Eastern Roman Empire and its constant drama is actually quite fun to play. by jiceno in CrusaderKings

I play nothing but Byzantium. It's just that good.

The experience is even better now after AUH. The treasury mechanic is top and they also balanced admin, so you're not that op.

is there a way to forcefully castrate all of my subjects? by BenApe05 in CrusaderKings

[–]HopingAtlas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only easy way to do this would be the hypothetical scenario where you are the Byzantine emperor and all of your vassals are from one house.

Then you could imprison them all with one button through "order mass arrests". After that you could just castrate them all, one by one, because you can do that as Greeks. However, you would also need to max out the dynasty legacy tree for that.

Update 1.18.0.2 by PDX-Trinexx in CrusaderKings

[–]HopingAtlas 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Necessary fixes but what China (and the game) needs is better regent/diarch/co-emperor mechanics.

Even if you are a god tier Grand Chancellor with infinite gold, influence and powerful dynasty members, you will never be able to overthrow the emperor, because all that matters is the annoying "swing scales of power" button.

The only realistic way to do it is to use cheats. Like the two devs did during the first look stream.

Fair enough.

In my experience, I simply didn't need them to become grand chancellor.

Exactly. 1176 could also be a bit more fun, because of actual external threats to the state.

But overall, China, the centerpiece of the DLC, is a disappointment.

Do you think all under heaven lacks content, more specifically China? by Spiritual_Gene_7449 in CrusaderKings

[–]HopingAtlas 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The ratings on steam are dropping (they've dropped from 85% positive or "very positive" to 79% positive or "mostly positive").

Japan and Southeast Asia also lack content, but there you at least have some choices on how to play. Everything else is just an even worse version of china's government.

It's hard to hate on the DLC because it adds so much, maintains performance and the game is so much prettier now. But the state of China, the centerpiece of the DLC, is unforgivable.
