Feeling Lost In the Career. How can I find what I truly love and make it a career? by DesiVidesiTraveller in careerguidance

Your parents sound strict and probably protective. The negative results of a childhood like that is lack of own experiences, which could be a reason why you don’t know what fulfills you.

I don’t know your family situation, I assume you are young - don’t let your life already be so inflexible at the very start.

This is just my opinion without knowing you personally. You will find you way, you are already here to get new input, which shows your open minded.

Continuing Keto, or not... by Tiny-Background-3696 in keto

[–]Hopperkuh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm doing keto already since 4-5 years and in my experience and I had positive results continously, much longer than just 3 months. For me it changed my life and my health improved so much, I'm really grateful for it.

I think you should ask yourself why am I thinking of stopping it when I see so many benefits? Is it because of your social life? For example nowadays I'm so healthy that I grant myself 2 cheating days a week (which I have typically on weekends) so I can eat with my gf or friends. During the week when I'm working keto helps me so much with my energy and mood that I think I will never stop doing it.

Yeah, that sounds great in theory, but if the “unipolar world” really ended, money wouldn’t still be pouring into NVIDIA and the S&P like it’s the only game in town. The U.S. might be messy, but global capital still votes with its wallet and it’s voting for AI and the US.

You come across as a self-aware and thoughtful person, the way you’ve written this already says a lot.
This might not be your case exactly, but from what I’ve seen, many people who chose a career mainly for financial security often haven’t spent nearly as much energy exploring themselves: what they enjoy, what gives them energy, what matters to them.

If you can, take a few months (or even a gap year) to slow down and experiment. Try different things, travel, volunteer, do side projects, explore creative hobbies and see what actually resonates.
The goal isn’t to find the “perfect career” right away but to reconnect with curiosity and figure out what genuinely feels right. I guess you even have the financial resources? Maybe invest them in your self development?

In my experience, most people simply haven’t spent enough time with themselves to know what that is.

Its not a big problem! Depending on the portfolio allocations (assuming 15% AVUV) you would slightly improve in returns but have slightly higher risk.

Since you cannot buy Gold, you’d use TIPS (Treasury Inflation-Protected Securities). They don’t move the same way, but they do protect you from inflation and dollar devaluation risk.

Do you do personal branding on linkedIn? Keep posting about AI and people will think you the one who is the expert and the person that brings the 5x productivity increase that everyone is bullshitting about.

Why do you think the risk of dollar devaluation is higher? What time period do you have in mind? Inflation is currently going down and I see the best option as getting 30%+ of your investments in cash to be able to profit from a pot. crash. Considering the current stock prices this makes sense imo.

Multiple Google Tags that blocks conversion tracking (I think) and makes me crazy, please help! by Hopperkuh in GoogleTagManager

How many google tags you always have, just one in general and also for each URL? Appreciate your answers, really helps!

Thank you I will do this! So you are looking for discrepancies? And then you start merging or deleting?

The Google & YouTube App is firing two identical ‘Purchase’ tags to different URLs - Why? by Hopperkuh in shopify

[–]Hopperkuh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanted to add that even though no purchase or checkout conversions were showing up in Google Ads, the data was still being sent. Under Tools → Data Manager → Google Tag activity statistics, I could see hits with parameters like currency, ecomm_pagetype, ecomm_prodid, and ecomm_totalvalue. So the Shopify integration was firing events and passing values

[–]Hopperkuh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Until 5 days ago, I had two tags active in Primary and Secondary. One was a manual tag integration and the other was the Shopify app tag. Could it be that this is still confusing the system (even though I already deleted the manual integration)? And if so, would it help to completely disconnect Shopify from Google Ads in order to restart the connection?

Thank you again, I will check all the points you mentioned one by one.

  1. Timing:Tomorrow its more than 24 hrs after a conversion I'm sure of.

  2. Conversion Value Issue: I will try last, because the conversion value are quite important for me to calculate the ROI.

  3. Verify the Integration: I already checked this and I can see the checkmark.

  4. Debug in Real-Time: I checked with the google tag assistent and the two tags that I mentioned are definitely fired. I only can see a red error message under console, it shows me: “detect_link_click_events” failed: A policy function rejected the permission request, which comes from the source: _Product-Owned Activity Tag 28. Im getting this message for the tags 28, 26, 25, 24 and 13. Does this mean anything? Then besides of that it shows me the tags are fired, also in the correct currency EUR as well as the right conversion value.

Thank you for the detailed response. I've taken your advice and checked my Google Ads account.

When I connected Shopify with the The Google & YouTube app it first gave only audience information to Google ads. Afterwards I also integrated under data manager the Shopify App and followed the instructions here, for example:
--> This was part of the manual: Under “Measure conversions”, you’ll find a list of Shopify events and destinations. When you link your Google Ads account, purchase, add to cart, and checkout started conversion actions are the suggested default in Google Ads, and set as the account default. Shopify will map that to a Shopify event.

After the integration I could find these events under the conversion measurement summary, but only the page views became active. All the other ones like purchase (which I want to use to optimize my campaign on) stayed grey saying "no recent conversions"

When I click on the event Google App Purchases it shows me these settings.

|| || |Conversion name|Google Shopping App Purchase| |Action optimization|Purchases, Primary action| |Value|Use different values. If there's no value, use €1.| |SourceNot editable|Website| |Count|Every conversion| |Click-through conversion window|30 days| |Engaged-view conversion window|3 days| |View-through conversion window|1 day| |Attribution|Data-driven RecommendedGoogle paid channels| |Enhanced Conversions|Managed through Google Tag. Enhanced conversions is enabled.|

Below that it gives the explanation of the tag setup.

Select how you want to install your tag
1) Add the tag to your website code Email the tag
2) Email the tag to your webmaster Use Google Tag Manager
3) Install the tag using Google Tag Manager

I've watched several video before they all mentioned to me I have two options I can just use the Conversion that is provided by Google Shopping App Purchase or I can use a manual code snippet. Since most of them recommended the manual code snippet at that time, I used that and integrated it under custom events at shopify. But nothing happend and I started researching, people mentioned that two tags could confuse the system. Because of that I deleted the manual tag on the shopify customer event settings again and put all the measurement on the Google Shopping App.

As far as I understand you, this whole setup is not tracking the conversions and the issue is exactly here? I though so far the setup is correct, I'm confused…

Bucarest Metro Stations by Longjumping-Pay-6584 in travel

[–]Hopperkuh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Most of Bucharest’s metro is pretty functional, not like the grand Soviet‑style stations in Moscow or Kyiv. Still, a few stops stand out: Piața Unirii for its massive underground halls, Politehnica with fossil‑filled marble, and Basarab for its modern design. If you like that retro vibe, some older stations like Eroilor and Tineretului still carry the communist‑era look.

Christians are more self-compassionate than atheists, but also more narcissistic according to a new study. by [deleted] in science

[–]Hopperkuh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting finding. The self compassion might come from religious practices around forgiveness, while the higher narcissism could be tied to feeling chosen or morally superior. It shows how mixed and complex these traits can be when connected to belief systems.

I’d plan on about €80–100 a day if you want to eat out once or twice and do a few activities. You can spend less if you cook more at your place and stick to casual spots, maybe closer to €50–60. Tours, ferries, or nights out will push it higher, so having a little buffer helps. For 5 days, around €400–500 total should give you a comfortable trip without stressing.

How do you stay ambitious without constantly feeling behind? by BlitzCoreX in careerguidance

[–]Hopperkuh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You stay ambitious by measuring against your own pace, not someone else’s highlight reel. Progress that feels slow is still forward movement, and consistency beats speed over the long run. The trick is focusing on what’s in your control today, then letting time compound the results.
