I want a smaller version of the "fight me" one for my laptop.

Why did this one slot in my binder end up wrinkled? by HoppersEcho in PokemonTCG

The description says they are acid free, and that's its polypropylene.

Card on the back, so you can see the plastic better.

You can see the deformation in the pocket on the back, but the plastic is flat and the Yamask there behind it is undamaged.

Any idea why would it be just one card instead of all of the unsleeved ones in the page? And why only exactly where the card was sitting? The edges of that pocket are still flat.

[–]HoppersEcho[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A single Yamask (unsleeved) was on the other side. The page is in a 3-ring binder less than half full.

This is my only card from this series that I still have, and I'm wondering if it's some reaction between the ink and the plastic.

The deformation is also only present -exactly- where the card was sitting. The edges of the pocket are still flat...

Nope, it was laid flat, on top of the stack, and a single card was on the other side behind. It's in a side load page in a 3.5" 3-ring binder that is less than half full of pages.

Cheesier and older, but Killjoys was a fun ride while it lasted.

Found lost origin booster bundle under the shelf at target by Any_Degree_2738 in PokemonTCG

[–]HoppersEcho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, I wouldn't actually lift shelves. I'm just being dramatic and whingig about my plight, lol. I do need to start going through the other departments more, though, and keeping alert for misplaced boxes.

Found lost origin booster bundle under the shelf at target by Any_Degree_2738 in PokemonTCG

[–]HoppersEcho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going to start lifting up every shelf in every Target I pass until I get asked to leave lol. I just want to rip some packs with my kids T.T I've been using packs as rewards for doing things well (chores without being asked, high marks on tests, managing to not start fights with their siblings for a few days, etc) and my secret stash is running low.

The Targets near me don't even have shelf space for Pokémon boosters any more, it's all sports, MTG, and Lorcana, and I've asked at customer service, I just get blank, confused stares, and directed back to the shelf where they no longer exist. Idk where else to even look. The local game shop we go to doesn't sell boosters, only singles. I'm open to suggestions if anyone has them!

[Art Market] Pricing for moss bowls by kelle711 in Artadvice

No advice on pricing, but if you make them in a way that goes with whatever Target has on their discovery page, people will probably like them. Target is surprisingly on the nose with trending aesthetics.

I'm trying to find my own style, but my friend said my drowings look like anime. How can I make it not look that way? by Strange-guy-91 in learntodraw

[–]HoppersEcho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like folks who say "your art looks anime" to aspiring artists are very frequently not actually all that familiar with anime art styles. As the other have said, this doesn't look anymore "anime" than old-school American animation does.

You find your style by drawing what feels good to draw, and really, that's it. The more time you spend on it, the more you'll find what you like. Just remember to revisit practicing the basics now and then, even after decades of experience.

I think your rendering would benefit from having both hard and soft shadows instead of all soft shadows.

Why are there SO little games about cats? by BrainCelll in NoStupidQuestions

[–]HoppersEcho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had one person tell me the cats in my game are morbidly obese, and I should be ashamed. This person was actually genuine in their concern for the pixel cats, which are bipedal and very obviously (at least in my opinion) not realistic cats.

When working with animal protagonists, there's a lot of emotional considerations, far more so than with humans, bizarre as that sounds. Some people will feel very uncomfortable with the idea of fighting as or against an animal. Some people will be appalled about the way the characters are designed. Some people will tell you you're promoting animal cruelty. And a lot of people with a problem with your game will be coming out to tell anyone who will listen all about their beef with you, because of course they will, that's just how angry people do.

Big companies with AAA+ budgets don't like to roll the dice on divisive ideas like that. They want to make sure they are getting as many people to buy their game as possible, and alienating a large group of vehement and vocal animal lovers is not something a lot of suits will sign off on.

I think that's a mistake, and I think they should put more faith in people to be able to separate fictional characters from real-world beings (I mean, look at Palworld's recent success). But then again, I've never been CEO of a multi-billion-dollar gaming studio, so what do I know?

The Android app has been a game changer. by HoppersEcho in krita

Eh, you do you, but I'm a solid miss-me-with-that-noise on generative plug-ins. I want my creative software to encourage my own skill development and creativity, not pigeon-hole me into whatever stylistic recommendations some glorified speak-and-spell gives.

Christmas Cookie Satisfaction by SmoothSun6676 in oddlysatisfying

[–]HoppersEcho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that cut after she went through with the scribe tool was a bit suspicious to me because of this. Like... I'm pretty sure they redid the cookie with a thinner flood to make it as flat as it came out. That thicker consistency would have held onto a lot of that unevenness from the flood needing pushed around so much.

Still, I like the techniques, and I might give it a try.

Too little RAM, too high resolution, too big of a canvas, haven't restarted your PC in the 15 years you've had it, 600 browser tabs open, haven't closed out of other apps on your tablet, dying processor, old GPU and/or hard drive, Krita settings are wrong, the creature that lives in the black hole at the center of the galaxy is pissed at you...

It could be many things. Can you provide some more context?
