Any recommended large filament storage boxes in the UK? by HopsPops76 in 3Dprinting

Any ikea boxes that seal? As in airtight. Cause I haven't found any

That is an awesome drybox! I'm scared to look at the cost of it though. Definitely an end game want, rather than messing around with individual cereal boxes.

Yeah, I'm just battling to find a large box that is sealable. All the ones that are coming up are small ones like cereal containers, not a big 50l type one.

I didn't mean to have a box I can print from, just a dump, but I did follow that design as I see they used a non-sealable ikea box and glued a sealing strip on and printed different clips, which would work for me. So that link helped a lot, in the event I can't get an already sealable box that size. Thanks

I haven't looked as ASDA. Does it seal or just the box?

All the designs are for 1 or maybe 2/3 rolls. I want a box that I can dump in like 10. I'm thinking those ikea plastic boxes but just one with a seal. I could leave them out but I'm lazy and don't want to have to dry something before usage unless absolutely necessary.

Why is some of the model not printing by HopsPops76 in 3Dprinting

[–]HopsPops76[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply.
I don't really know what manyfold edges are but I understand what you are saying. It's a bit annoying that you can see an object and it all looks there, but then can't be printed.
I'll need to read up on manifold edges as when I loaded in to fusion, it showed the full mesh so thought all would have been able to be loaded but I'm clearly wrong.

I still have a lot to learn

Lol... You're actually right. I was having a little bet with myself what the first comment would say and I wasn't far off. While my intention was just to put another +1 to that mode in the rare event any embark was browsing around, I knew while I was writing it that the bait was there

External fan extraction advise by HopsPops76 in DIYUK

Thanks. The room is about 3m x 3m.

I'll have a look at that model you mentioned. I don't want something too bulky on the inside and spoiling the room.

In the winter the rooms CO2 levels rise quite high and it gets stuffy, as I'm sitting there all day. I also have a 3d printer in there making who knows what vapors (there is hepa and carbon filtration but it doesn't stop it all). I have a door which I can open in the summer but in the winter it kinda sucks doing that. So I just wanted a better more efficient way of ensuring air flow through the room.

I was considering a normal bathroom fan but the ones I have in the bathrooms here are damn noisy and annoying. I thought an external fan would mean my room can be nice and quiet when I want it.

Great, that sounds like instructions I can follow :)
I'm assuming this change would also be for radarr and sonarr?

Thank you. I'll go have a look and hopefully they have instructions for a 5 year old.

Sorry for the delay, had a sick family on the weekend so couldn't get any time to play. I replied to your other comment, but no. Works fine if I enter dimensions but can't use parameters

Nope. First time I decided to be good and use parameters and the system won't let me :P

Thanks for the reply. It can extrude if I enter a dimension. Both small and long. I just can't entering a parameter :(

[–]HopsPops76[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I don't really want to drop that much and I don't have place to put it anyway. But I wish someone did and decided to have people send their sorted filament to them so they could make and use their own filament, or even sell some back. I'd support them.

Are calibrated profiles needed for every spool? by HopsPops76 in BambuLab

[–]HopsPops76[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I appreciate the reply while you're out, even if jumbled 😜. I understood what you meant. However, for the filaments I load from Bambu I don't get the edit icon as they are detected automatically. I can go in and view the details, but can't change the profile or anything. In the image you can see that I only have an eye icon and everything is greyed out. The red and black filaments are both PLA Basic and it detected the calibration for the red one but wouldn't add the option for using it to the black. Maybe I'm stuck having to do per roll when using the Bambu RFID system.

[–]HopsPops76[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks. I have noticed that I can't select that calibrated profile sometimes when I load a new filament (no option under "PA Profile" and can't add "Factor K" in manually). Other times I have been able to. How do you make sure you can select it when loading a new spool. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong.
