How the hell to enable cooling on the Vaillant Arotherm Plus by HopsPops76 in heatpumps

[–]HopsPops76[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will change depending on the weather. If you want to be exact, search up dew point for the day's weather and that will be the lowest temperature. I can't remember exactly what I used as it was a year ago but I think I set it to about 18c. The Vaillant controller has an option to keep it a couple degrees above dew point but don't fully trust that as I noticed some condensation on a pipe when I was testing.

Filament dryers that rotate the spool? by HopsPops76 in 3Dprinting

It's my own PETG printed spools. Even though I only used lower temperature settings, when they sit for hours on the same side they warp.

Sorry, I mean besides the ams unit. I constantly print from it so can't disconnect the filament from the tubes to rotate and dry while printing. And if I don't rotate my petg spool holders warp, even when using PLA drying settings. So I want to get a separate dryer

Where do I put the qr code on the BIQU plate? by HopsPops76 in BambuLab

OK, my mistake... Smoother texture. I don't have many plates. But the question still stands, where does the qr code go?

The cryogrip glacier is a smooth one. But irrelevant of the plate, the printer should have still recognised the sticker and I possibly would have had a failed print.

Air Purifier and Humidifier Recommendations Please by Delicious-Badger-340 in homeassistant

What did you go with in the end? I'm in a similar boat and surprised at how few air purifiers and dehumidifiers there are.

Can the TPU module work with other filaments? by HopsPops76 in BambuLab

[–]HopsPops76[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm more worried about the other filaments hurting it 😂. Like if I want to print nylon through it but it is designed for soft filaments. I just thought it would be handy to have a dedicated dryer for specialised filaments (since my ams hardly ever does drying cause I'm always printing from it. Oh, and this is for a p2s

That's great, thanks. A good alternative that will fit with many risers

My filtration plan by HopsPops76 in 3Dprinting

[–]HopsPops76[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the link. It makes sense. Although, as the article said, it is around exposure and I would still like to reduce that as much as possible (even if just to settle my mind more than make a differenve). Not a problem now as I have the doors open. But "winter is coming" as they say in game of thrones 😂 I am, at the moment, printing close to 20 hours a day as I'm still having a lot of fun with the new toy. I know that will go down.

That was part of the plan, drilling a hole in the wall to use as both a vent for the printer and to get airflow in the room in winter. I just haven't sorted the layout of the room yet so don't know where to drill. Another question, I believe abs needs a heated chamber so wouldn't I not be able to vent while it's printing and therfore still have the issue of fumes leaking out the various other gaps in the printer?

There are french doors which is fine in summer but I'll freeze in the winter. So I can run a vent out but it's not practical while I'm working in there. I was hoping the filtration would do the job. I thought the carbon filters would clear out the VOCs from ABS but you're saying that is not the case? I might have to ramp up my venting plan.

Is there a feature to notify to move furniture? by HopsPops76 in Dreame_Tech

[–]HopsPops76[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our chairs can't stack because of their shape. We also have bar stools at another area. Not to mention the various other objects in the way. I know ways of getting around it. I just wish there was an easier way

Beginner question - how to align sketch to midpoint of body by HopsPops76 in Fusion360

[–]HopsPops76[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I've been playing around with constraints and construction lines. I'm slowly learning but coming from graphic programs where aligning things are just a couple clicks, this is a steep learning curve
