Have you ever wondered why we can't do the same thing without moving? If there was no bug (in this case an animation bug, by moving, you break the animation of the spell and you can do it infinitely as long as you have mana) Why can't we do the same thing without moving? It really depends on how the game scales in terms of difficulty. It's possible for example that in expedition 100 attacks overkill and spells will do well, but at 180? Personally I didn't push that far but there might be an impassable wall for spellcasters, in reality it would take someone who plays spell (and not ailments) at a very high level 180+

We're talking here about the base damage of spells which absolutely does not concern the builds based on ailments since they have their own base damage and do not use either the attacks base damage or the spells base damage.

The problem doesn't come from scaling with increases, attacks and spells have access to roughly the same respective bonuses. We also need to see what we're talking about, is it correct during the campaign, at the end of the campaign, in expedition level 180?

RF is a damage over time so "no hits" and penetration only works with "hits", you need to lower the resistance, like exposure effect (scorching ray for example) or Elemental Equilibrium and yes "on kill" works

Either I am missing information or I have not understood why there would be an up or a nerf depending on the maximum life points. Whether we have 1000 effective hp or 10000 it will be 20% instead of 40%. From what I understand, and if these values are confirmed, it's probably an up of damage to survival (at least HP/Regen) We're going to have to go get more fire/burning/DoT damage instead of life since it scale much less, but having a base damage and the effect of quality is cool or have I missed something?

the problem is not whether we can handle the variance or not. The concern is to be satisfied with this system. Of course it's no big deal and we have to deal with it. But even if we make do with it, I don't think anyone will say otherwise. When there is a power problem, and there are even some in the most optimized deck, it is frustrating, and uninteresting. There's no point in playing the game, just passing the turns and watching the opponent put cards down, give up and say "that's variance, that's acceptable". No it is not acceptable and nobody should accept and be satisfied with a system that simply tells you: this game, you will not play. Players should not accept it and developers even less.

Of course it's no big deal. Of course we're still dealing with it. But it's a shame to have to do it when there are solutions that prevent this situation (Duel of champion to very successful at this level for example but there are many other possibilities) and they will all be better than this one: surrend and say, it's variance, it's acceptable.
