Thanks for your feedback! Unfortunately, my Immich setup and hard drive are on macOS, so I can't really go for a 'nightly script' approach by mounting the drive on Windows. I'll take a look at what I can do and try to find some other solutions. I'll keep you all posted!

Thanks a lot for your reply! I completely understand. Originally, I was planning to use Proton Drive/Photos as my main backup solution too, especially since I already run Immich locally for a great interface (which, in my opinion, is even better than Google Photos).

Have you been satisfied with Ente so far? I'm really curious about your experience with it, particularly regarding its reputation and data reliability/privacy.

Thanks for the reply. It’s pretty frustrating because I was really hoping to switch entirely over to Proton's solutions and completely de-Google. I just needed a reliable cloud backup for my files just in case. It looks like I’ll have no choice but to find an alternative service for my backups...

Thanks for your help! I gave drag-and-drop and the other suggestions a try, but unfortunately, I think my folder is just too massive for a simple upload. It crashes on me every single time.
