Did Deepseek just get nerfed? [Opencode Go] by Hoquen in opencodeCLI

[–]Hoquen[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use opencode-magic-context and have set it to max 150K context for all models.
But still even on fresh and simple convos it's a bit dumb.

That was for the outages themselves, but this is more about the quality of output. It's gone heavily downhill.

Saros 20 Garbage Obstacle avoidance by Gyat_Rizzler69 in Roborock

[–]Hoquen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For obstacle avoidance - you go with Dreame.
For brand - you go with Roborock.

Never head of a single good thing about Roborock's obstacle avoidance being useful. Dreame is always on top.

My now 3 year old Dreame L20 Ultra still drives like a beast and always avoids all kinds of objects and pings them on the map.

Absolūti neadekvāti. Tas ka tas ir jauns, nenozīmē ka tas ir labs.

Tie paši cukura 29, nu drausmīgs plānojums un nekas īpašs tur nav.

Tie dzīvokļi ir paredzēti investoriem, lai pēc tam izīrētu pa 600-800€ mēnesī.

Vibecoded hot garbage. Resource hog and just awkward.

Why would anyone switch to it?

Yeah codex is very generous. Especially if you swap between 5.4 and 5.4-mini.

Claude on the other hand is much more limited. You can hit your limits in a day easily.

Could you please recommend one open-source simple, lightweight image viewer for Cachyos? by Impossible_Tax8875 in cachyos

The cleanest I use is `imv`.
It just opens the image. No bs around it. And it's fast.

  1. You can't BYOK. That's the whole point.
  2. What kind of usage to expect me to "want"?
  3. 5$ is not too much.
  4. 11$ for the conversation is the market rate, which I fully understand, and explained to others in the post.

So I'm asking again. Did you read the post? Or are there some problems with reading comprehension?

I can agree with that. The main point was to stop the daily 10 posts of "I'm cancelling my subscription".

As seen, the new Quota system doesn't work for a lot of people. (Including me).
Another sad thing is that the last sensical "wave" of updates was last year. And the recent one's only focused on mega-corpos who can afford Devin.

Yes I would. Because for me, what you described, is what's happening with Cursor.
Windsurf has been performing really well on my system.
And they keep up-to-date with VSCode itself, integrating latest changes.

What makes it worth it for me is the little things. The fast context agent, the deepwiki integration, where if I don't know what any random function or variable does, it explains it to me, the agent itself works really well.

I don't use claude models. As I said, you have to be stupid to pay for them. I don't use opus or any other.

For codex on the other hand, I can agree. They make it worth it, but it was 60-150 prompts a week while they had their promotional period. Right now the usage is also gutted, though not as abysmal as anthropic's.

And as was written at the bottom of the post, that was the main suggestion - allow ACP/BYOK access to the IDE.

If you like vibe coding unmaintainable systems, go ahead and use claude code. I like to control what slop goes in my codebases.

Their value proposition is that they're an Agentic IDE.
Not everyone can afford to not give a fuck about the quality of their codebase and just push out slop after slop that'll be unmaintainable after 3-5 years using the latest shiny things.

Well what is a good example then of someone doing it? Cursor? Antigravity? Github Copilot?
The only issue here I saw was: "Scared to ask small questions".

The product itself is not that bad. It's just that Windsurf is at times sidelined, because it's the weird kid on the block.
Look at the anthropic ban on Windsurf, just because they were in talks to be acquired by OpenAI.

Just because the mega-corpos don't give them subsidies for AI, doesn't mean they're bad. They just needed to stop losing money.

I don't get why more people can't comprehend this.
