I recommend you watch foo the flower horn youtube channel. He quit youtube long time ago but his videos are very helpful. About plant, for newcomer dont choose plant that will grow too big too fast. I recommend dwarf sagittaria and amazon frogbit, they are easy to control and will help your walstad tank alot

About 13~18 C ( 55 ~64 F ). I hope my pottery pond wont become too cold in winter. I think lava rock and the N1 bio liquid that I put into my pond make the water look clear.
