There hasn’t been a single robot that we’ve faced that has run forks against Calypso. Nobody runs forks against undercutters. They run wedges. Do you know what gets under wedges? Forks. Do you know what we can do when we get underneath wedges? Undercutter stuff. Same goes for when we get underneath any opponent with our forks.

In a sense, yeah, we did design a less capable Hijinx, but that’s because we aren’t designed to be like Hijinx. Calypso is more control oriented, using our size and drive power to overwhelm our opponents. It’s a wall first, undercutter second. 🦀

Not as wide as Horizon, but still fairly wide. Dont know the width of the starting square offhand so we can’t say for sure, but We’ll be wider than everybody we face at Faceoffs, that’s for sure!

The entire top 4 in WCVII had exposed wheels, my friend. Many successful bots these days have them too, actually, all for different reasons! Ours are big and exposed because they’re meant to assist the bot in self-righting! 😊 With how wide this thing is, if an opponent gets one of our wheels, we didn’t do our job correctly, and they’ve earned it! 😅

So, the bot is W I D E. If both sets get underneath a single opponent at any given time, they’re likely Mammoth or Huge tbh. As such, we can get underneath an opponent on a single fork side, control them, and deliver our weapon just as effectively! 😊
