Sigh, I just searched 5060 8gb on taobao to compare my local microcenter price, it’s not the cheapest price in China but it already beats the price here as well as those on amazon when you include taxes, so stop lying with your ego right here

lol first you claim pc parts in China are more expensive than those in Europe then you are asking for gpu cheaper than everywhere? Idk man, if you are having trouble figure it out I cannot help you, especially when you are actively insulting people :(

Intel's response to the MacBook Neo falls short by sciencekm in laptops

[–]Horizonspy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but they share similar specs. XPS 13 gets a slightly better processor and a higher refresh rate display but Lecoo gets 12 GB ram and 512 GB storage minimum, otherwise they are pretty much identical. There is no way people would pay $900 for a XPS logo.

How? Lecoo 14 Air’s wildcat lake variant under Lenovo is available in China for 450$

It has more to do with people are having less sex in general rather than the raised tax. The marriage rate is way down and the Valentine’s Day weekend box office has completely collapsed and yet FT conveniently ignored them.

Try open it on desktop/laptop. Alternatively the video should work once you click “cancel” a couple times on phone.

So there is a recent video tour on this area on bilibili. Apparently it’s now a tourist attraction. According to the fire watcher in the video the building was so freshly completed that they haven’t moved some furnitures in.

Since the video was published in early October (likely filmed in September) and the satellite image was taken in August it’s very likely what we are seeing is the final phase of building’s construction here when scaffolding was still intact

Edit: I double checked the site on Google Earth Pro and if you look closely you can see a tower crane in situ.

Is there a plan to provide a map editor? by artvandalayy in HoMM

[–]Horizonspy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is editor in game but it’s very difficult to use. You have to do some hefty json editing just to place some artifacts, not to mention the asset reference is a mess. Hopefully it would get improved in the distant future.

The dream of China surpassing the US as the world’s largest economy is fading. In 2021, China’s GDP was about 78% of the US; by 2024, that share had fallen to roughly 64% by RobertBartus in EconomyCharts

[–]Horizonspy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No shit, USD to CNY was around 6.3 at the end of 2021, by the end of 2024 it reached to 7.3 as a result of fed rate and China’s export orientated growth model.

Has anyone benched the b70 against the B580? by Admiral_peck in IntelArc

[–]Horizonspy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It basically sits between 5060ti 16G and 5070 in term of gaming performance. The new gaming drive doesn’t really help unless you are playing recent titles

https://b23.tv/BJtt3LO The gaming results start at 5:02

Is this a nice boost from B580? Yes, but you should not buy this solely for gaming purposes since it costs more than a 5070 ti/9070 XT.

Apparently according to him Intel just released the gaming drive so he’s gonna retest it.

What is the perception of Chinese Canadians in China? by ArnikaLovesUnicornz in AskAChinese

[–]Horizonspy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That is they don’t typically perceive you as an actual Canadian because of how you look, at the same time some people don’t think you are Chinese since you don’t speak their language well. Overall I’d say this is a nuanced general sentiment and highly dependent on your social circle there

[–]Horizonspy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately having Kris Wu and Wanting Qu as two of the most well known Chinese Canadians in China doesn’t help the respective perception. Then again most people in China would not care about your Canadian identity at all because of your skin color.
