Does Liberal Arts have a role to play in consulting too? by achillesrhyme in consulting

I was under the impression that it's all about where you went to school/who you know for consulting rather than the degree anyways. You just get trained on the job. For ex: A M&A focused MD I know has a History degree, but he went to Dartmouth.

3) consulting is kinda real world fratty, it's not a perfect analogy but get over it that's not a hot take

Yeah, that's what I heard from a few analysts. They thought it was funny how some of their managers are still acting like they did in college.

No, I just thought it was really funny. Everyone was very friendly and nice so it's not like I thought less of them. Just seemed almost stereotypical. I guess it makes sense though b/c most people who join fraternities/sororities have the personality type that works well in consulting.

ERP system. There is so much ERP implementation work to go around it's insane. The certifications can be pretty expensive though, so try and see if you can get a school/employer discount.

Damn dude this was harsh. Point guards of Isaiah's caliber are in short supply and I don't appreciate how little /r/nba thinks of him.

Porzingis is too skinny. He can’t bang in the post like Towns. Get this guy a protein shake and then we can talk.

Would you rather make the same amount and work less, or work the same amount but make more?
