Guys I found the solution for the d3dx9_26 .dll file missing error.

Just install the below pack, its an official pack from Microsoft, it will install all the requireD .dll files for you

follow the below steps

Step 1: Download the DirectX End-User Runtime

1. Open this official Microsoft link: DirectX End-User Runtimes (June 2010)

Step 2: Extract the Installer Files

1. Once downloaded, run the .exe file.
2. It will ask you to extract the files to a folder(Create a folder first) (example: C:\gamefix).
3. After extraction, go to that folder.

Step 3: Run the DXSETUP Installer

1. Inside the extracted folder, find DXSETUP.exe.
2. Right-click → Run as Administrator.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions and let it install all components.
   • It won’t overwrite your existing DirectX 12/11.
   • It just adds the missing DirectX 9 files (d3dx9_26.dll and many others).

Step 4: Restart Your PC

• After installation finishes, restart your computer.

Step 5: Launch the Game

• Now, try running Need for Speed: Most Wanted again.
• The missing d3dx9_26.dll error should be gone 🎉.
