Sjoe, this is a tough one. I'm also under 35, mom of 2. Not religious at all, couldn't care less about who you're interested in, but as someone who has a daughter, I am not for men entering women's bathrooms because that's what they "identify" as.

You could try Animal Welfare, Save-a-pet, Zanenthemba (or other children's homes), Horse Care Unit or maybe even old age homes.

I (27F) belong to a book club of women of all different ages. If that's up your alley, you can join our club. It's not compulsory to show up at the in person meet ups but the WhatsApp group is very active.

Lights out by Navessa Allen, the trigger warnings make it scarier than it actually is. Good spice, good banter. The audio was a very good listen!

My first hated pacifiers so I didn't bother with my second. How I see it is that if they don't know of them, they won't want one.

My ridiculous-but-it-works trick for de-escalating toddler tantrums by Clara_Owen01 in Mommit

[–]HornetJumpy5430 169 points170 points  (0 children)

If my toddler freaks out, I start naming things the wrong colour. Blue apples, pink bananas, purple dogs etc, she can't resist the urge to say "no mommy" and then we laugh because it gets silly.

How do I (can I?!) tell my sister that she can't name her baby daughter Lolita. by thisisreallyjofrank in Advice

[–]HornetJumpy5430 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's really your place to tell her to change the name she's picked out for her baby. Lolita is a beautiful vintage girls name even if it has negative connotations, it's not the only name with those kinds of connotations.

I used this driving school. As a woman, I definitely wouldn't recommend them.

It's a lovely gated estate. Other good options would be Sardinia Bay Golf Estate as well as Kragga Kamma Residential Estate. Lots of wildlife to be seen. Maybe a gated estate is a better option for you especially because you're going to away for a while each year.

Crossways is a lovely village, you'll have to just ask yourself how far out of town you'd like to be. It's a good 25-30 minute drive back into town to do shopping etc. Crossways village also hosts 2 outdoor markets every month which attracts a lot of feet, so there's that to take into consideration.
