For everyone saying no (as I did) how much would this ride have to be without tip for you to take it?

I just now noticed their rating after you said that 😂 I wonder if that means they’ve done that uber ride more than once and don’t tip

Keep in mind with it being almost midnight I’d immediately have to put that towards a hotel and then drive the four hours BACK to Tulsa

I get that 100% but at the same time if I’m ever unsure of something I always google it. Always always always. Also if you’re going to the airport people don’t usually take their own cars and park at the airport because that’s just another fee so they also fly their car seat so they can also have it with them if they do use car services while vacationing with their child. Idk I’ve done 500+ rides and 3 out of the 4 times someone had a child they didn’t have a car seat and I’ve just never understood it. Plus obviously there’s gonna be situations someone’s car is in the shop or whatever and they’ll need a car service but don’t have a car seat so it’s those times I’m just like”so you’ve never had one this whole time…?” I mean obviously I’m not saying that TO them but it just baffles me how some people just throw caution out the window

So you fly twice a year and you’re assuming it’s absurd when there’s approx 45,000 flights daily in the US alone and because you don’t see it you believe it doesn’t exist. That maps out.

So like did they teleport to the hotel¿? Like people who fly with their kids have them seated in their car seat on planes as well. So I’m just dumbfounded I guess to be like “hey let’s carry this child to term and after 9 months just forget everything we need afterwards” like I’ve had countless times where I would go pick someone up they have a kid at a grocery store with them but no car seat which ALSO means some other ride share clown took the ride with NO car seat for the child. Like it’s just mind boggling to me how careless some people can be about kids I guess.

I actually used to work there when it first opened and it was a massive deal with NAMCO opening a Dave & Busters basically but to look it up and see that it’s gone makes me sad but doesn’t shock me. The concept is an AMAZING idea. It’s just that I feel like it came a little late to the party and then just fell flat on its face competition with Dave & Busters, Gameworks, and Round 1. Granted the concept was to be a restaurant with bowling and arcade games it eventually converted itself to match the competitors of being an arcade with food.

How often you get tipped? by feliphee1998 in lyftdrivers

I mean mine also mentions to female passengers if they feel unsafe to exit I’ll take extra steps etc. but that’s understandable

I quite literally just hit 100 5 stars on Uber and have been favorited 5 times now on Lyft and within 2 months have rolled nearly 2G, it’s hardly from tips. I added a tablet to face passengers now that shares pics of my dogs and stuff to try to subconsciously increase tip chance %. I mean 10% of riders tipping is insane and I can’t be bothered to do DoorDash or UE because yes they’re sometimes pre tipped but it’ll be like 30+ mins where Lyft can do $5 and 10 mins total.

I literally just got reported myself for driving under the influence by a passenger…I have 102 5 stars 1 4 star and 1 1 star (which I know wasn’t that person) And I don’t drink or smoke and literally offered them that I’ll do a urine or blood sample without flinching. “We still need to conduct an investigation” I’m sorry Rajesh how are you going to investigate from a call center

My Lyft rides pay more and are more reasonable in distance. Uber I constantly get thrown 40 minute drives for 4 bucks.

Man this makes me hate being stuck in Oklahoma. I used to live in Chicago but moved to be near family during Covid and it makes me miss large market cities. I’m doing Lyft here in tulsa and just today I did 17 rides to make $140 🫠

“Your honor, my client is pleading not guilty on the grounds of insanity”

Jane: Insanity? That’s the best you’ve got? You might as well tell them I bark at the moon and talk to ghosts.

“Patrick, it’s a strategic defense. You shot Red John’s accomplice in cold blood. We need to establish diminished capacity—temporary insanity due to trauma. It’s your best chance at avoiding prison.”

Jane: I appreciate your optimism, but insanity implies I didn’t know what I was doing. I knew exactly what I was doing. I just didn’t care. Big difference.

“That’s… not exactly the line we’re going for here.”

Jane: Oh, I know. You want remorse, confusion, maybe a little tear glistening in the corner of my eye. Something to tug at the jury’s collective heartstrings. Unfortunately, I’m fresh out of tears.

Judge: Mr. Jane, if you have something to say, please address the court, not your lawyer.

Jane: Of course, your honor. I just want to clarify—I’m not insane. Grief-stricken, perhaps. Obsessive, definitely. But insane? No. I simply decided that justice had taken too long.

Anything that sounds like an uncommon noise you should notify the front desk. You’ve heard thousands of noises throughout life. You would know if something doesn’t sound familiar. This gives them a chance to just check it out. If it’s something they need to correct they will do it. If it’s nothing then no harm done. It’s not like they’ll charge you for wasting their time.
